  Jesus son of god or man of Illusion?

  do you think jesus was a son of god or just a man with a gift of magical illusion?.

  modern day magician or illusionist if you will, chris angel (http://www.crissangel.com/indexflash.html) has shown his gift on numerous occasions and i always say to myself, "how does he do that?".

  same with jesus - do you really think he was a son of god, or just some man with a superior gift?

  Aussies/Canadians of JWD most laid back~

  i was thinking today, i've been here at jwd for nearly three years now.

  i've observed that our aussie members are the most laid back members on the board here.they don't take their country, their politics or anything too seriously really.

  people who are from europe tend to be more laid back than the brits and americans.

  MY SON'S LEAVING HOME!!!!!!!!

  my older son, karl, is leaving home.

  it could be this coming sunday but, if not, definitely sometime during next week.. karl has been a wonderful son and friend.

  leaving watchtower was made so much easier because of him - and his decision to exit undoubtedly prompted my wife, claire, to take a look at the damning evidence herself!

  i don't know about you guys, but i never pray before eating and never pray before going to bed.. first of all i like a hot meal, so i don't pray before eating, and i also never pray before going to bed, because i might fall alseep before i say amen.

  2 peter 2:7,8 says "and he delivered righteous lot, who was greatly distressed by the indulgence of the law-defying people in loose conduct- 8 for that righteous man by what he saw and heard while dwelling among them from day to day was tormenting his righeteous sould by reason of their lawless deeds.".

  Actually I wonder if any other women find they have the same reaction as me when they read this story and find men trying to rationalise it and say how 'fine' an example Lot is.

  I relate to you Gill...its all just dumb really...Angels come to visit,men want to get a peice of them,they sit back while Lot throws out his daughters in place of them to get ganged raped.Nice angels from god,eh? Why would they need to be protected anyways? Can't rationalise crap.
  
  I really do think,alot of biblical people were eating too much from the ground,like mushrooms or something...

  las vegas, nevada (ap) -- the fugitive leader of a polygamist sect has been arrested in southern nevada, the fbi said tuesday.. warren steed jeffs, 50, was taken into custody after he and two other people were pulled over late monday by a nevada highway patrol trooper on interstate 15 just north of las vegas, fbi spokesman david staretz said.. the leader of the fundamentalist church of jesus christ of latter-day saints was wanted in utah and arizona on suspicion of sexual misconduct for allegedly arranging marriages between underage girls and older men.. since may, jeffs has been on the fbi's ten most wanted list, with a $100,000 reward offered for information leading to his capture.. the other two people in the vehicle were identified as one of warren jeffs' wives, naomi jeffs, and a brother, isaac steve jeffs, both 32, staretz said.

  they were being interviewed by the fbi in las vegas but were not arrested.. jeffs was in federal custody in las vegas pending a court hearing on a federal charge of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, staretz said.

  Name Things JWs Try To "Demonize"

  the witnesses are always trying to scare the faithful by telling them that if they don't adhere to the teachings and lifestyle of the brotherhood-----that bad things are going to happen to them.

  for example, they might tell you of brother regret who left the "truth", had "fun" in the "world" and then got aids.

  now he's back in the "truth" but he only has months to live................can you think of other examples of how the witnesses try to spook the rank and file?
