apparantly, blackholes don't exsist and the scientists who were so convinced that they did exsists are wrong hehe.. without quantum mechanics, the early theorists made crucial mistakes in envisioning black holes and their relationship with space and time...for example, light photons would gain an infinite amount of energy when they reach an event horizon, according to classical theorists.
but they ignore the gravitational effects of this unthinkable amount of energy.. .
Quantum theory is just that - a THEORY. It isn't neccessarily right, but it's about the closest we've got, and the formulas and algorithms it has given us have proven useful.
RELATIVITY IS WRONG. Voyager (that deep space probe thingie) didn't go where it should have - it's path was out by millions of kilometers when it reached the edge of the solar system. Relativity cannot explain why it did that, because it is an incomplete theory.
It's a pity Einstein died so soon, because if he had managed to complete his GUT (Grand Unified Theory) maybe we would now have an explanation for the stuff that happens at the sub-electronic level.
Hell, a hundred years from now people are going to laugh at us because we thought things like electrons and neutrons even existed! Think back to the Victorian era science, snake oil, etc, and you'll see what I mean.

interesting story developing on the matter of a civilisation that was submerged due to globally rising sea levels....global flood?
the city is believed to predate the harappan civilisation.

I'd love to see how the WT handles this. There have been so many finds of very ancient structures under the ocean that their whole 'The Earth is only 6000 years old' fairytale just gets blown right out of the water
Of course, it will just get swept under the carpet as usual!
If the carbon dating and all that stuff is correct tho, I do think we're going to have to rewrite history. My feeling is that human civilisation is a lot older than we think - it probably pre-dates the last Ice Age. Anybody want to share any other thoughts on this subject? I find it enormously interesting...

what did you give up to become a witness?.
was it something you are still glad about or something you regret.. i'll start of with things i gave up.
(even though i was brought up in the truth talks and the mags made you guilty about certain things).
My virginity! Haha, no, I was actually too young to remember giving anything UP...

what would happen if everybody on earth who was a jw woke up tomorrow morning and didn't remember anything at all?
something like having total amnesia?.
what would they think of their collection of watchtower magazines?

What would they think of their collection of Watchtower magazines? Would they even KNOW what the Bible is?

i had gotten a few minutes to myself this morning and i was looking through some old photo albums of my family and such.
i couldnt help but think to myself "what a waste.
" i have family members and friends who are so talented and so gifted in many ways that i am not, yet they choose to remain witnesses.. even the small handfull that know its all a lie, still choose to remain that way.
Thank God I got out before I finished High School! Otherwise I have this dreadful feeling that my mind would be wasting away in Bethel right now.

the emancipation of women, the achievement of full equality between the sexes is essential to human progress and the transformation of society.
inequality retards not only the advancement of women but the progress of civilization itself.
the persistent denial of equality to one-half of the worlds population is an affront to human dignity.
Men and women aren't equal - they are complementary. Women can do things men can't, and vice versa. Both sexes should have the same rights and be treated the same way, however. I have very little time for men who don't respect women.

highway carnage: dad critical after crash kills wife, four children.
a recent awake article was about the magnificence of niagra falls and how it straddles the canadian and u.s. borders.
in the february 22nd issue of the awake in "from the readers" at the back, one of the readers complained, "you (the awake) said that the erosion of the river gorge has taken place over the past 12,000 years.
this would not tie in with the bible's account of a global deluge.".
The WT has always been a bit vague about dinosaurs and so on, and their supposed 'timeline' of events on Earth is so completely out of whack it should be an entry in a joke book, seriously.
