Office Jargon, drives me nuts
by punkofnice in'granular' seems to be the latest buzz word going around my office.
previously it was 'appetite'.. abstract words that appear to be designed to make the person saying it appear powerful and part of the 'team'.. as lord sugar has observed before; why not just speak english and say what you mean.. office jargon really annoys me.
i had enough loaded language and jargon in the disgusting jw cult..

One of my favs "let's table this". As in we can't come to a decision or there isn't enough information so we'll "table" it for a future time. -

Although I concur with @Heaven as to the order of creation I just as vehemently believe it is as much out of sorts to think a single cell organism (Universal Ancestor) is our beginning by happenstance.
That said there are many perplexing things in both. As far as the bible the flood alone is a field day for any evolutionist. If you think rationally there's serious concerns in this story. How were animals that are strictly indigenous to an area able to make it to the ark and then back. Just doesn't make sense. How in a short period of time was it possible for all these kingdoms of earth and the building of the tower of babel to have existed after only 8 people left the ark?
We could go on and on. As to the other side of the coin, the complexity in life is quite significant. If evolution is true, if this happenstance is accurate why can't we solve the complexity of life and disease?
If we can calculate the proteins involved in DNA and much more why is it not possible to cure disease and for that matter create life itself?
If you're honest there are questions on all sides that are terribly difficult to answer.

Just so you guys know these terms are all generated from the tech world. You guys are just now hearing about them is all. Been in the game for a while actually.
Ping - email me when you're back.
Granular - Used when describing a class, query etc gives greater control over something.
Leverage - Utilizing one tool to extend another. (hate this one with a passion)
Monetize - How to take an application and now start making money with it.
Prosumer - The consumer that's more or elite than the next guy.
Push - Dual meaning. Could be uploading changes of your work or to move an appointment to another time.
Convergence - Converging things together to make a viable product or service.
Hard Stop - Have to break off our meeting at this time no exceptions.
Scalable - This product will scale nicely at any size from startup to public offering.
Future Proof - Something that will still be viable and good in the future.
Touch Points - Times where you've discussed the project.
Touches - Usually used to suggest we haven't had enough touch points or conversation.
...there are plenty more but just a few to further make your nervous tick go haywire.

It won't be long and the only magazines will be digital. They'll always print books although even that is a waste of money for non third world countries. Imagine the bulk of the printing will be for those third world countries moving forward. -

How do I handle this situation?
by BarelyThere inhey everyone.
i'm sorry that this isn't a very thought provoking post but i could really use some advice on how to handle this.
there isn't anyone else in my life i can ask right now because, being dfed, all of my friends are "worldly" and don't know how witnesses function.

@BarelyThere you should absolutely report it. It is your account. You could approach it that it is difficult to return to Jah with this sort of harmful gossip and slander and that you would appreciate him creating a new account or changing the email address. (you can only do this once or twice on FB so if you have done it before he may have to get a new account). Stress that it is really hurtful and makes it difficult to build your faith when leaders in the congregation are engaging in such things.
I would suggest you quit looking at it regardless. Like in Pitch Perfect it's like the piece of burrito on "fat Amy''s" neck it will only fuel your hate fire...lol (gotta make light of it)

Brooklyn news on sending the elderly packing
by I am a Bible Student injohnny the bethelite on this program talks about the older bethelites being targeted by watchtower.they are getting rid of those at bethel who are 65-87 years old, some being anointed even the widows of former governing body members who gave decades of loyal service time to the watchtower organization.. the reasons the very elderly are being expelled are money in that for their age range they cost so much to cloth, fed, and medicate, having problems from high blood pressure to dementia.
they include persons such as sister henschel whose husband had been a watchtower president and marian sydlik whose parents are long dead.. https://soundcloud.com/rick-fearon/jan-16-2016-johnny-the-bethelite-watchtower-insider-host-his-radio-program-from-brooklyn-ny .

Hard to believe I get the skepticism. Some of the things this guy says and how quickly he responds to certain questions seem credible.
Basing this on some studies I did years and years ago.
Regardless this will all come out as credible or not as time will tell in a few weeks if the rumors become concrete as some of these ones actually leave.

My life After Bethel Part 1
by new boy inthe day i left it was pouring rain........i really screwed up, i found out the night before, as i was packing things up, that i had way under estimated how much stuff i had.
i had two large suit cases (that i could barely shut the lids on) and a large army duffel bag.
i would guess about 200 pounds of shit......my van was in rhode island with the engine out of it.

My Bthel Experince Part 19 The Last Chapter..(really) Bethel Overseers
by new boy inthere were other people who either killed themselves or tried to kill themselves while they were at "the house of god.
one person who did kill himself was richard wheelock, press room overseer ......he jumped out of a window at the watchtower farm one day.
it seemed, he was never quite the same after his wife "willy" died.

Two things I know at this point in my fade. Pretty much everyone goes through the same feelings. Secondly no one should have to deal with this conflict within self and their family. Just shouldn't be.
The way I've been expressing things to my family is here are x number of things, they have shaken me, I'm conflicted. I wish someone could prove them wrong.
Some will be compelled to set out and prove those concerns you mention wrong. They won't be able to.
The result is quite incredible to see.
I find no joy in it other than knowing that I've gained them and that I might have saved them from refusing blood or adhering to some other thing that could cause loss of life etc.

"Crises of Conscience"
by Olivia Wilde ini just finished reading chapters 11-12 of raymond franz, crises of conscience & i must admit, i am pretty strong person, however the way ed dunlap & ray franz were treated left me crying, i had tears rolling done my eyes driving home from work on friday... & how ed was kicked out by wt, left me feel soo disgusted & outraged.... it was very obvious he needed to stay at bethel because of his age & medical conditions but i admired he didn't compromise his conscious, it's sickening to me how cold & callous these men can treat a christian after all his service.... & of course ray franz situation was no exception either, the witch hunt they did to get him out was, well, there's just isnt enough adjectives to describe their disgusting motives against him... he was 59 yrs old trying to make a honest living with his wife & for them to go after him was devious & demon like.... i'm soo grateful i came across this book & i wished i had much much sooner.... i know god will reward both ed dunlap & franz plus many many more who have been unjustly & unchristian like treated during that time & this time, sooo sickening.....i still feel very much upset & emotional over the whole thing .... i never met any of them & then yet i feel deep christian love for them......

For those curious Crisis of Conscience will be back in circulation at nominal prices.
I noticed that the pricing is quite high and is usually but various private sellers or those with a few left.
Like I said though this will be back in full circulation very soon.
