Of the 60's and 70's sure. Into the 80's and particularly the 90's I'd say no. This little North West state called Seattle pretty much owned the 90's and early 2000's as the grunge movement took hold. So I think it entirely depends on the music you prefer and the era which you grew up etc.

by pleaseresearch inwhen i speak to my mum about things, she says why do you keep looking on the internet and news etc... why don't you just live your life and forget what you learned growing up.. maybe i was so so indoctrinated as a child that even though i have woken up and learnt ttatt, i still need to keep up to date with new findings from ex and fellow brothers and sisters.
listening to their testimony about why they left.. this was to me and all of you i'm sure, the truth.
so to finally wake up is absolutely massive.

Completely normal almost expected. Although selling myself is no longer needed being aware simply helps me defend my position.
Additionally the injustice of it all. The control and the ruining of lives and even theft of lives is so profound you can't help but want to see this injustice stopped. Why? Because unlike they are portrayed those that have left the organization generally care about those still in. If you are remotely decent you can't help but want to free them from these chains of injustice and control.
That said and by the day I become less and less consumed by it all. It has gone from outrage to sheer disgust to it's just so sad.

all semedic and even sanskrit can be traced back to akkadian.

Total side point and a piece of advice as I have no dog in this fight at the moment but telling someone to go visit Wikipedia is pretty much the worst thing you can do.
Is it factual...sometimes but it is wrong a lot as well. You have to take it with a grain of salt.
I've corrected things myself and then the same idiots come through and change it back to the false information over and over.
Bottom line it can't unequivocally trusted. Perhaps an accredited source from a university study in linguistics would be better.

@GrreatTeacher is there's no man alive that can tell you the difference. I mean if you are you can't say what it's like if you aren't and if you aren't what it's like if you are.
So outside of the medical cleanliness argument we will never know!
On a side note it has always made me wonder why God would create man uncircumcised and then tell him to circumcise. Did he screw up? Makes me wonder I tell ya.

kingdom ministry 2005 nov {after the tsunami and new orleans desaster witnesses sent millions to help brothers in these areas marking their envelopes "for the tsunami victims" etc.
the society realized since there are few witnesses in tsunami ravaged countries this money would be wasted helping muslims.

Advice needed
by Peony incan someone tell me the scriptural basis (according to jw's) for shunning disassociated ones.
only asking because i don't remember (probably wasn't that interested) i'm sure the shunning in the scriptures was just applied to disfellowshipped.
i've only been out 3 years but i seem to have forgotten any scriptures or reasoning!

How to spot faders or "closeted" apostates in a congregation / meeting?
by nevaagain inso i am awoken for several years now (never really bought the cool aid) but for family reasons i am still enduring everything.
but my wife knows ... .
anyway so yesterday we had this boring meeting and as i was sitting there trying to make time pass faster i looked around me and i thought who else feels the same as me and is completely bored?

At this point I honestly believe they'd be better coined "PRE-FADERs". Why do I say that? Well I think of myself. It is really really hard to listen to the indoctrination when you are fully awake.
So those that are say irregular or otherwise may not be Faders but are actually pre-faders. They may have some serious doubts but we've had it beaten into our heads for so long that many even with serious doubts cling. You can actually I believe rekindle their spirit if not careful as they'll feel "Satan is attacking".
To date it has been better to say things like "boy that's tough to swallow" or "I wonder what scriptural basis was used for that"?
Meaning questions that are platonic in nature but force the person to honestly think about it. This has happened twice so far with me. If they are in "PRE-FADE" you'll have them coming back to you, saying "you know I checked this out and guess what I found?".
Even at that point I'd still be careful but see the onus is on them at that point as they contacted you.
