I have someone next to me who is Islamic. He says all Islamic people agree with the above but there are lots
of nutters who distort it to make it compulsory as a controlling mechanism (think how cults work).
Pay attention to the word ''tradition'' in your source from wiki. It always says tradition because it is NOT in the Qu'ran.
To put into perspective, it's not a sin to not be circumcised for an Islamic person. It's a choice. It's a tradition.
