  to me honestly this would of been prohibited 10 years ago, but now every dub is obsessed with this website, it's everywhere even a damn iphone cover... ooh they don't approve of idolatry ooh no they don't accept cross veneration thats bullshit to me!!!

  its getting to a point that they are venerating this website (company logo) it's their version of the cross.

  this is just meant to be a fun topic.. what are some tv and movie snippets that summarize the conformity and extremism of watchtower life in general?.

  i found this trailer for the giver to be dead on :-).

  Great thread! Great clip because it has all the right terminology too!!! Amazing!!!

  This is what popped straight into my mind. It hasn't got the right terminology but the whole clip can be adapted and here's how I see a it;

  The boy is an awoken JDUB (and is exactly how I feel, makes me tear-up). The young male panel member is an elder (always complying with being over-ridden), the female panel member is if a (asleep) sister was allowed to sit as an elder, the older male panel member is a GB member (offering an assignment at the end), the audience are the witnesses, the guy in his room is an exJdub who's still indoctrinated and the crying girl in the room is an exjdub who knows TTATT! Actually the whole movie is worth a watch, the bikes are the ministry, the high point collectors are pioneers, the foul rude guys are fence sitters, the whole environment is like Bethel.   Was Adam "born" Circumsized ?

  i guess we have to assume that jesus was circumcised on the 8th day but what about adam?

  he was "perfect", so did he have the weenie cut or not?.

  i would like to bring this question up at a "get-together".. rub a dub .

  If you're referring to FGM it's horrendous too isn't it, more so. So many screwed up distortions of religions! These people really are sick in the head. It's not just Islam either, Christians, Jews etc. all do it. Disgusting! So controlling.

  they come in and have thee nerve to ask me to step out so they can speak to pops!!!!

  this is the good part.....pops says...and i quote " whatever needs to be said..can be said in front of my son".

  a very close friend of mine has gotten his letter.

  although he was planning to leave willingly, he told me that he can't help but feel a sense of being stabbed in the back by a bunch of self righteous traitors.

  he gave tours for years, always telling the visitors "this is the best way of life, i would never change anything here and i'll never regret making this decision to come here.

  @Mephis - I struggled to make sense of what I read to be honest. That could have been your fault or mine. From what I understand you were disagreeing with me and trying to make it sound like I'm cheering on laws that squash freedom of speech or freedoms of other groups to express themselves etc. which is not the case. For the record, I'm not a fan of the P. prince or his methods. Quite frankly he lets his ego take him to war like a fool but that's another conversation. If you say we're agreeing, then cool!

  @Talesin; ''is circumcision compulsary in islam'' pop this into google and loads of sources pop up. I'm at work so don't have the time to read through and find you a good source but the first source from that google search is from BBC Islam which states;

  ''Circumcision is not compulsory in Islam but it is an important ritual aimed at improving cleanliness. It is strongly encouraged but not enforced. The ritual dates back to the time of the Prophet Muhammad. According to tradition Muhammad was born without a foreskin (aposthetic).Aug 13, 2009''.

  
  I have someone next to me who is Islamic. He says all Islamic people agree with the above but there are lots

  of nutters who distort it to make it compulsory as a controlling mechanism (think how cults work).

  Pay attention to the word ''tradition'' in your source from wiki. It always says tradition because it is NOT in the Qu'ran.

  To put into perspective, it's not a sin to not be circumcised for an Islamic person. It's a choice. It's a tradition.

  @talesin "Interesting that Islam also requires the practice (another religion that demonizes sex)." In the interests of fairness, this is not true. Islam is not interested in c@cks:) In the Qu'ran it does not mention circumcision. However it is believed that Mohammed was born circumcised and a lot want to emulate him by having circumcision ops. So it is a tradition but not a command. Any requirement of circumcision by any sect of islam is a distortion of islam as it is not mentioned in the Qu'ran.

  I skipped a few pages so apologies if someone has already said this but here is my humble view;

  1. Any religion seeking privilage for confidentiality when sins are confessed where a CRIME by law has been committed is SOLELY looking after it's own reputation and law writers should not let themselves be lobbied to allow it.

  2. Any religion that offers a service to it's worshipers whereby sins can be confessed to a CRIME by law, and all will be confidential and said sin will be washed clean by god by way of said confession is SOLELY looking after their own reputation.

  3. Offering spiritual help to a criminal should always exist and does so even inside prison.

  4. Offering spiritual help to a criminal is a seperate thing from reporting a crime. They are mutually exclusive.

  5. Mandatory reporting where a SERIOUS CRIME has been committed should be law.

  6. Confidential helplines exist for anybody, victim or offender, looking for advice, or confession and these calls should be handled by trained proffessionals to seek information on crime and report any clues to a perpatrator where serious crime has been committed.

  7. A sincere criminal feels he should pay for his crime. Anything else is not sincere, it's a game where the criminal is fooling himself.

  8. Any religious body calling themselves the truth should NOT seek to offer refuge physically to a criminal. It is NOT their function. It is ONLY their function to offer spiritual refuge - which can be done throughout the whole process of confession to the police and detention and is quite rightly, their right!

  9. For a religion to hide behind laws of the land instead of pioneering clean process is telling. They have a hand, in a game.
