Nice comment JACOB!
while the vast majority of posts that the majority of posters share are perfectly fine (which we appreciate) i've noticed we have a few cases where bad language, crude innuendo and outright misogyny is creeping in.. this is not acceptable.. we're not certainly not prudish and neither are we going to enforce puritanical rules - sometimes a politically incorrect joke is funny as hell and sometimes strong language is justified.
but often times content is completely out of place and cannot be justified.. so, please don't post crude content or use expletives just to be "shocking".
it's childish and immature and won't be tolerated.. thank you to all the people this has nothing at all to do with..

They're pitching science vs religion. I don't disagree with the articles, it makes sense but it doesn't have anything ultimately to do with God vs no God does it? If we think in a balanced way we should be using both sides of the brain to come to conclusions. So far, science cannot say God does not exist and religion can't prove God does exist. Only the individual can say he/she knows or doesn't know. Determining what side of the brain someones using to make that claim they know or do not know is telling. My ears always perk up when I hear anyone debating God from both sides - there's the endless rabbit hole!
while we had our eyes fixated on our "one-time" idol the watchtower and their false prophecies like the generation of 1914 that wouldn't pass away, 1975 etc.
; a number of real prophecies were unfolding.
we just weren't taught to look for them.
*Israel - arghhhhh!

The Jews control their own people... even when persons do not know they are of Jewish blood, they are found and looked after. I've met two people who never knew one of their parents was a Jew, who stated that they have been followed from time to time and no matter what they want to do in life, the very best opportunities get offered to them, on a plate with the answer always being; it's not luck, it's your bloodline. So, is it prophecy or are the Jews controlling their bloodline? From the statements I've heard from first hand experience, I would say the latter! So, that kind of rules out any prophecy.
Isreal repeatedly calls the Jews to come back to Isreal under all kinds of guises. The latest instance of this was several days ago when after the Ankara and Istanbul attacks Isreal advised Jews to get out of Turkey. As far as I can see, there is a select number of Jews who want to bring this ''prophecy'' about by manipulation. So, read into that!

It would have been acceptable if the Trump joke would have been first on the list to make it very obvious it was an April fools. Putting ''breaking news'' and then leading readers on a very traumatic rollercoaster about child sex abuse etc. is not acceptable. Period. I don't care how hard you're working to bring down the org. I just hope that nobody sees that stupid fooking article as the tipping point. Extremely poor taste!
in mississippi, there is a historical site called forks of the road.
before the civil war, it was one of the most active slave trading markets in the south.
it was a triangular piece of land formed by ... you guessed it ... a fork in the road.
i am just venting because my sister has put on facebook that i am no longer "in the truth"!
i have kept a very low profile for years and have silently faded.
many witnesses i have bumped into are very friendly towards me, some from other congregations may not even be aware that i dont go anymore.
in my book, i wept by the rivers of babylon, i described the process of having a friend, johnny santa cruz, use our friendship as a platform for converting me to a jehovah's witness.. that friendship cost me decades of my life in bondage to a cult.. the friendship was real and johnny and i bonded for life.
but, the religion eventually turned him into a stone silence.
now he is dead and the imaginary reunion and meeting of the minds is no longer a possibility.. this makes his passing a double tragedy.. his memories were my memories.
What a beautiful thing to do to write a book about the two of you.
RIP Johnny Santa Cruz.
My condolences to you Terry.
so sad.
i love europe.
i love going there not as a tourist, but just blending in and spending time with locals in non-touristy local gems.. islam seems to be spreading their religion of peace throughout the continent.
do something about it, clean out your mosques, don't provide social cover for extremists. These people are known but not being reported by the communities and groups they live in. Simon
Yes, it is the ideal answer but a lot of Imams believe in a warped version of Islam and have warped the minds of their followers. It's not easy to get rid of the Imams. And report to who when the ''who'' has an agenda that favours the outcome? This problem is deep. The answer lies in teaching the followers pure Islam - an argument that's been going on since Prophet Mohammad's nephew, Ali and the others (the successors of pure Islam) were killed and all kinds of warped distortions were introduced.
(Rant alert; If only people would stop being lazy and educate themselves about history, religious texts, philosophy and scientific studies and theories etc., they might come to a point where they can keep their beliefs to themselves as a personal relationship with God or with chemicals or whatever they believe started life (as there is no ultimate proof eitherway and possibly never will be if you understand what God could mean - absolute state as opposed to a seperate entity God in man's own image ie, a man in the clouds.) and pursue a life based in learning - progression for enlightment and peace with a common understanding that being good to each other equals survival for all of us and is more productive than killing everything... instead of sitting in a lazy heap of I'm right and you're wrong lets fight! Sigh.)

Violence and terrorism should be condemned by everyone. When some excuse or justify it then you know there is still a breeding ground for it. - Simon
Yes, this! Hear, hear.
