Not at all, I have met fools and A'holes of various colours and creeds including good ole white boys. I have also had good relationships with "people of colour". We are one race; humans, many of the problems we see are the result of religion. I can't count the amount of times I tell people just because I am anti-Muslim does not make me racist, it is a religion not a race. I should point out I am anti religion generally, not just picking on Islam.

Has leaving made you racist
by Steel inso i use to go this hall that was basically 100 percent white and basically anyone under the age of 40 has either faded or makes a token effort to keep the peace at home, of course outside of the usual dregs of society .
the hall went from two congs to one and i was quite happy that in ten years they would be lights out.
then in the last two years about six young filipino families have moved in and three of them are newly baptized .

Latest Circuit Assembly Money Assault!
by eyeuse2badub inprobably not new to many of you but i'm gonna post it anyway!.
i went to a circuit assembly last week at the fremont, ca assembly hall in fremont, ca to be with my wife so she could be there to 'witness' the baptism of a person she "studied" with about 2 decades ago!.
at the main entry to the assembly hall there are 3 or 4 large double door entrances.

My father is so deluded he tithed his entire working life and even into his retirement. He would donate the entire proceeds of his hobby, selling plants and flowers, to the BORG not even holding back an amount the Gov't would allow pensioners to earn. I should do the math one day, be a lot of money; over 60 years a WT slave.
Now he and Mum are frail and when I ask how many of the "friends" come to help them I am met with silence or excuses on behalf of the missing "friends".
Let's review; it's a cult!

Modern Medical Science Heals Blindness Better than Jesus
by fulltimestudent ini posted some time back that i was having vision difficulties.
at sydney eye hospital it was determined that i had no other serious eye problems except a growing cataract.. i was referred to another hospital for a removal of the natural lens in my left eye and its replacement by an artificial lens,.
had that operation a week ago - no problems except my iris did not expand enough to permit the lens procedure, so they had to use hooks to expand it, turning a less than 30 minute operation into a 90 minute procedure.. all very professional and first class treatment.

"There is a lot that was not recorded",
Tenacious, how then do you have knowledge of these unrecorded miracles? Or do you mean that they are not in the Bible but recorded elsewhere?
Fulltime, I too have had successful cataract surgery thanks to the miracle of modern medicine and the Aus healthcare system. My perception of color is now a little different,I love it. One eye sees blue light and the original equipment sees yellow light; very obvious when viewing white objects. Fascinating!

"And if he owns a business, he would certainly not bid on a job or do contract work for any part of Babylon the Great."
I have a JW contact who I regularly give contracts to in my role as Senior Grounds Person at a Catholic school. He does fine work too.And before he got ill his father used to labor for him.
They, father and son, used to call regularly at my home in the course of their preaching activity until my brazen apostasy put a stop to that. He still took a contract as recently as 6 months ago, long after my apostasy was revealed, he never flinched, drove in, measured, quoted and accepted the job.Good price and well done.I'm pretty sure Catholic money would be as dirty as anyones.
I just laughed my arse off! I look forward to any future opportunity to offer him a contract.
PS..I am not a Catholic which worries my employer not at all.

I live in rural Australia and we have snakes! Mulga, king brown, dugite, western brown, tiger, death adder, just to name a few. These are the ones I am familiar with, the country as a whole has quite a few more types, most venomous and a few deadly depending which region you live in.
Now and then we see one in the house yard but I know that there are many more that go unseen. If one is near the house and I can dispatch it safely I will do so other wise I will quietly watch them 'til they bugger off. Even aggressive ones will go away if you give them a chance. They have a role to play in the ecosystem. Always keep my eye out when tending the chickens or feeding the horse in warm weather. It is not common for people to die from them, considering. More people die driving up the coast road in holiday season!

Christian Longo on death row – is he up for a new trial?
by Bonnie_Clyde infor those who don’t remember, longo was a life-long witness (even a one-time ministerial servant) who strangled and/or drowned his wife, mary jane, and their three children, zachery, sadie and madison.
longo has been on death row in marion county, oregon, since 2003.. http://www.biography.com/people/christian-longo.
well, yesterday i talked to a woman who works with one of mary jane’s sisters who told me that longo was coming up for a new trial.

Those that need to see a Therapist / and those that don`t is there a correlation of the two ?
by smiddy3 inthere have been a number of threads / posts here over the years about ex jw`s needing to see therapists for what they are going through , and i can appreciate that.. obviously there are many ex jw`s on here that haven`t ever felt the need to see a therapist ,and i`m just wondering why not ?.
why does one feel the need and another does not ?.
is it to do with born ins as against those who were converts ?

"and just maybe my being on this board and others that I started with was my and still is my therapy"
This smiddy3^^^.
I was born in and it took many years after leaving before the final shackles fell.
I can attest that falling asleep as a toddler on the day bed provided at the back of the K Hall is not good for mental/emotional health. All that crap of multi headed beasts and eternal destruction at Armageddon and Gehennah's fiery lake does not make good bedtime stories for infants! I am sixty years old now so you old timers will know the length of meetings and the crap they used to serve up (probably still do) back in the day.
All good now thanks to supportive wife and friends and a few years membership on sites like this.
Thank you to all the apostate internet community! It has been good therapy for me.

A question for Aussies about NBN and streaming / network dropout problems.
by smiddy3 inhas any fellow australians here had problems with the internet dropping out either with their computers or streaming devices on the tv`s etc.. since the nbn took over we have had nothing but trouble with interruption of services on the tv and computer.. i would say it drops out at least 10 times or more in any one day.. it`s a bloody pain in the ass.. a technician came out the other day and supposedly fixed the problem that they knew about by the way (why didn`t they do something about it then instead of waiting for me to make a complaint ?).
the technician went away saying he had fixed the problem ,but lo and behold within a couple of hours we still had the same problems that have continued over this weekend.. i`m just curious if any other australians are having similar problems as i have outlined..

Yeah thanks Fulltime, we already use phone as hotspot for the laptop while holidaying, but Telstra has poor service ATM at our residence. See what the future brings. I think you are on the money cos you can get some good deals on data which are probably as good or cheaper than keeping landline and running a smartphone at the same time.My iphone is funded by my workplace so I can't abuse it.

Hi fellow Aussies, you guys are lucky, we live in a small semi rural community 80 ks from Perth and are still waiting for NBN. Apparently ours will be wireless and the locals are arguing about the location of the tower, can't wait for someone to call "Sacred Site" and the argument will go on longer. Still here I am on the internet talking to people I don't know. Cool eh? BTW Zeb we are happy with Westnet too.

Almost speechless, the inference from reading the scripture Matt 8:3 is that the money will be used in real charity work to physically help "brothers in need".
What a putrid steaming crock of shite that is! How low can they go? "Satan" may be the father of the lie but these crooks have made an art form out of deceit. Shameless!
