The writing has been on the wall for a few years now against the WTB&TS / IBSA ,

All the downsizing of Branch officers,personal ,K.H`s,Magazines ,etc,etc.is not conducive to an organisation that is in a good way.

In reality it is a sign of the eventual demise of the organisation that is going through these adjustments.

However like others have said it will not go out of complete existence ,it will be around for a long time yet with drastically reduced membership maybe comparable to the Christadelphian`s or even the Exclusive Brethren.

Faces on TV Broadcasting

i agree that being photogenic is not given to every ordinary mortal.

.

but when at the beginning of every new month i am confronted with the various faces of those males showing off as a priority on tv-jw (see jw broadcating september 2017), i am asking myself if i honestly am faced with normal people, or with people who went mental already since ages ago.. is it maybe due to the fact that the majority of them already do not feel anymore like belonging to ordinary mortals ?

,Please Governing body of Jehovah`s Witnesses and those responsible for JW.Org don`t sack him or palm him off somewhere but give him more exposure ,more time in front of the camera.

He gets an "E" excellent for facial expressions come" gestures"

This brother will do more for JW.org than any other personality on the TV broadcast

"Prayer" and answers to it , positive / negative ,or is it all in the mind ?

speaking from my own experience and that of my family of wife and two now adult sons do not believe that prayers to jehovah /god are answered .. so it must also be true of all other religions and their believers also.. my wife and i were jw`s for 33 years and and i don`t believe anyone prayed harder than my wife and i at various trials we faced during those times in those 33 years.. we may as well have been like the present day jews who pray to a brick wall .

Anyone go on a cruise?

just finished a 7-day cruise from nyc on norwegian cruise line (ncl- gem).

this is my first cruise in 30 years, so my past experience does not count.. overall, a great experience.

ncl does a great job.

My wife mrs smiddy went on a cruise a few years ago from Sydney to Noumea,New Caledonia ,Suva ,etc a South pacific cruise on a 12 day cruise.

It was her worst nightmare come true. they dodged one cyclone early in the piece with minimal problems however on the way home they felt the full brunt of a second cyclone that produced 15 metre waves that buffeted their cruise ship thats 45 foot waves hitting the ship and they could not get back into sydney to disembark on the day they were supposed to as it was too dangerous to go through Sydney harbour heads and dock.

So they waited another 24 hours at sea till things calmed down somewhat.

Their is no way she would ever contemplate going on another cruise ship

That was her experience .

Obviously their are good experiences and bad experiences

it's only a matter of time of course..... jw rumor mills will start up soon, with stories of how jws were "first on the scene" as the flood waters receded..... how the red cross and/or us national guard and/or doctors without borders and/or [you name it] were marveling at just how "organized" the jws are..... how zealous jws were pulling their trolleys thru ankle-deep water to "offer comfort" to victims, by giving them - sandwiches?

to offer them comfort by giving them 16 page "magazines" to read in their spare time..... so as the stories start to come in, you can "deposit" those little nuggets of bs here.. once collected, we'll wrap them in a pretty bow and flush them away where other instances of pure manure go..

Because they will not lift a finger to help anybody not associated with jehovah`s witnesses.

shame to see our multi bilion property and media corporation asks for the last coins of an indian child, the coconuts from a sri lanka man and the last olive oil of a greek poor.. message to the poor is: no money, then your other belongings are belonging to jehova (read:jw.org).. at the end of the article i can click on a donate button and get a visa / mastercard sign om my screen.. follow the money: were are the property bilions?.

It`s one thing all religions have in common is God needs your valuable things ,he needs your monetary donations ,your gifts ( material gifts of course ,estates left after you die etc.)

Why the God who created all things needs YOUR MONEY is beyond me.

The more blatant " cult" religions are the worst of course.

To be fair I must acknowledge that some religions do a great service in humanitarian needs for people who need it.

providing hospitals ,health clinics,food kitchens ,and shelters for the homeless ,and people with mental problems who need care.

Jehovahs Witnesses dont fit anywhere in these groups except to say to anyone in need :

"Here is a magazine go and be well fed " and then turn their back on them .

They offer no practical help to anyone and they never have ,and they never will.

JW`s Lie about Christendom hiding the Name Jehovah.or its equivalent Yahweh

jehovahs witnesses have been outspoken over the years/decades that christendom have been hiding or obscuring or even eliminating gods name jehovah from the general public.. how true is that statement .?.

1. it was a catholic monk of the 13th century that first coined the name jehovah in the english language.. 2.the roman catholic douay version of the bible does have the name jehovah in it.

Pope paul the V1 quotes from Psalm 8 in his goodwill message where he uses the name Jahweh for the name of God

Jehovahs Witnesses falsely claim to have covered the earth with their witnessing and making the name of God known throughout the earth .

They have never been able to witness or operate openly in strict Muslim countries { would that be close to a third of the worlds population ?}

Not only have the Catholics covered the earth before them they have even put the name of God on the moon thanks to pope Paul V1 for any future visitors/aliens to be witnessed to.

Update: My current situation

it's been about two months since i stopped attending meetings, came to the conclusion that the org is not the truth, and i'm currently dealing with some problems since leaving the org.

i want to discuss these problems and hopefully get helpful advice.. discovering the truth about ourselves is a lifetime's work, but it's worth the effort - fred rogers.

my current situation in this: i faded and hold off on writing a disassociation letter.

Whatever you do ,do not meet with Elders or participate in a Judicial meeting and if you are ever confronted with an Elder be non committal and evasive at all times and never meet with two of them .

Always use an excuse to get away from them .

They have no power over you unless you give it to them

In reality they are nobodys in the world they are only somebody in the religion if you give them that power.
