What exactly in a nutshell is "This good news of the Kingdom" ? that Jesus spoke about , and have the IBSA/Jehovahs Witnesses always preached it consistently ?

J.W.'s reliance on Matthew 24:14
by The Fall Guy invirtually every j.w.
will gladly tell you that matthew 24:14 proves that only they are god's true people/religion, because they are the only people preaching the good news worldwide today.
crucially, they double-down on this lame bet by adding that their worldwide preaching proves another wtbts teaching, namely, that we are living in "the last days.

by Mattieu inhow can i describe alex rance?

Alex Rance`s value as a player has gone up tremendously as well as his potential for more endorsements in the media such as radio and TV opportunities .
He has already branched out in TV and Radio on a small scale and I can see that blossoming into larger engagements in the future.
He does have a pleasant nature is articulate and a good looking young man (none of which can be attributed to his religion)
In the light of previous posts and his new found fame in being a deciding factor in the AFL Grand Final win for his club Richmond ,it will be interesting how he handles the accolades that will come his way and the predatory women who want to bed these football "stars" for their share in the spotlight.
I wish him well ,but human imperfections are what makes us human ,the first perfect human didn`t fare well did he.
I will watch this space.

Nobody loves you like a dog does except maybe a cat.
We had a toy poodle that my wife bought as a pup,I wasn`t that keen at first ,however gradually that dog bonded with me and I with her. After a couple of years a teenage cat adopted us and both of them stayed with us for about 16-17 years until we had to put them down because of old age and illness .
I never want to go through that heartache/heartbreak again I was a wreck
"R.I.P. Lilly and Daisy" as I type this tears are flowing down my face and it`s been a few years since their passing..
Thanks for this post coCo

The real power behind the Jehovah`s Witness religion is not Jehovah and certainly not Jesus whom they relegate to the backroom ,it is the Legal department ,and the Public relations department , and the power -brokers but especially the legal department.
The legal department I believe is instrumental in determining some doctrines especially controversial doctrines and has little to do with Biblical scripture.
Jehovah`s Witnesses are not governed or directed by Holy Spirit ,they are governed and directed by what is beneficial to the advancement and growth of the religion using human strategies at their disposal such as Lawyers and power-brokers.
This was a man made religion from the start and it has used it`s influence over Gulilble people to build itself into a multi-million dollar publishing empire over the western world.
Which suited them well until it became clear they could no longer charge for books or magazines they were placing door to door. without being taxed for their sales.

Facing Existential Dread
by Brokeback Watchtower inthe watchtower corporations main appeal is a everlasting life, this makes it possible for one to avoid existential dread.
this type of anxiety is a part of the human condition, and it explains the appeal of many religions to the human condition as it offers some relief from the anxiety about our life ending.. psychologist show the importance for facing this dread/anxiety.
my feeling is that the more you can accept the fact that your life is very very temporal, the better you will live your life as you accept that you are very temporary and try to live life to the full and not be duped by religions appeal to calm this anxiety.. https://www.calmclinic.com/anxiety/types/existential .

I have known quite a few elderly and not so elderly people who have been at deaths door and I cant think of anyone of them who have faced their impending death with dread .
More likely it has been one of acceptance ,that death is just a part of our living cycle. Most of the people I speak about have not been church goers and if you believed the hype of Christians they would be pleading for forgiveness of their sins before they departed into the next world .
However nothing is further from the truth. It just does not happen
I`m in the twilight of my years and I do not believe in the Bible or a God that answers prayers , am I in dread of dying ? no of course not its an eventuality that will befall us all sooner or later .
Do I want to die ? no of course not ,however I`m a realist and accepts that is what will happen sooner or later whether you are a devout JW ,Muslim ,Orthodox Jew,Mormon ,SDA,or any other religious persuasion .
We all die.

JW/Mormon slogan parallel
by neat blue dog injust came across a meme of the leader of the mormon church (lds) saying "believe, obey and endure".
it just reminded me of the jw mantra "listen, obey and be blessed".
😂.

They don't see any need to reform.
Hopefully that fact will be their undoing , It really should be of no surprise that cult religions have similarities , they all prey on the vulnerable for a start and exploit that vulnerability for their own ends.
Keeping that person captive to a concept that they instill in their victim.,I say victim because that is what they become.
JW/Mormons ,SDA`s ,Christadelphians ,Christian Science ,Scientologists ,and the list goes on all using cult tactics to snare and keep enslaved the vulnerable who fall into their trap.
"Religion is a snare and a racket" ...."Religion is the Opium of the people"Two quotes I wholeheartedly agree with .

Why does Jehovah need their human possession`s ? As if he needed anything ! . And where was Jesus Christ in all of this ? And his Kingship ? What has JC done these past 100+ years ? and are they, whatever they are , acknowledged in this song ? The Christian Greek Scriptures say that Jesus Christ is the name above every other name in Heaven and Earth that should be made known for salvation ,even according to the KI of the WTB&TS of New York.
"The Kingdom Interlinear Of The Christian Greek Scriptures" printed by the WTB&TS of new York
Is this song promoting Jehovah ? or is it ignoring Jesus ? The K.I. notes that the name Jehovah does not appear in the Christian Greek Scriptures , however the name of Jesus is to be held up above every other name in heaven on Earth and under the Earth.
Isn`t their something wrong here ? with JW`s thinking ?

Are there any KH in Israel????
by James Mixon incurious , i was thinking about serving where the need is great..that would be a hard sale, that would be like me setting up a lemonade stand at the gate of a kkk rally...

I may be wrong but I don`t think D2D witnessing is tolerated in Israel if my information is correct they can have a place of worship for their own believers but they are not allowed to proselytize in the state of Israel
Just one other place on the World map where nobody gets to hear the "Good News" of Jehovah`s Witnesses.
apart from Muslim/Islam controlled countries which accounts to approximately 1/3rd of the worlds population ,correct me if I am wrong.

Waking up to TTATT: Blessing or Curse?
by Jules Saturn inif you take the red pill, you'll have knowledge, you'll be awakened, aware of reality, you'll have freedom.. if you take the blue pill, you stay in your bubble, wearing rose colored glasses, and feel security in an illusion.. taking the red pill isn't something that's easy to do.
to accept that everything around you is an illusion built up on lies or half truths.
but hey, it might feel good to be aware and break free from this illusion.

J.S. would you really be happy living a lie and deceiving yourself for the rest of your life ? I don`t think so. Coming to a knowledge of TTATT ,one can never go back .Admittedly it is a big adjustment to come to terms with at first ,however over time (sometimes only months or sometimes years, it`s up to you ) it becomes so much easier .
Don`t waste your life trying to please other people ,do what you want to do with your life it`s too short to waste trying to please other people because no matter what you do you never will.
edit to add: With new friends non JW`s their is no need to acknowledge that you were ever a JW ,I never have and I have a lot of close worldly associates that I spend time with on my terms.
Their is no need to disclose your life as a JW if you don`t want to.
Just saying.

marriage"equality" survey, Australia.
by zeb inthe australian govt has set out a survey to see if people are in favour of changing the marriage act to include same sex couples.. hm here have received their papers?
the survey promises to be anonymous but has a substantial bar code at the bottom... anonymous yeah right.. the marriage act once said "two people" then a previous prime minister changed it to say "man and woman" all that is needed to amend this situation as required by the gay community is change it back again to "two people" there, done and dusted.. and millions of dollars need not be wasted on this survey which is not compulsory as is voting in australia.
can anyone here who still goes to kh tell us if this has had a ruling from the platform?.

Regarding the "voting" position of JW`s ,I have been associated with a number of KH`s in my 33 years as an active JW and on a number of occasions witnesses were required to vote on something to do with the congregation.
One classic time was when the Cong.was voting to have the meetings on a Sunday morning or afternoon .This vote was always done on the service meeting .On three occasions the vote went against what the BOE wanted by one or two votes ,the next SM I couldn`t attend however the vote went in favour of the afternoon meeting which is what the BOE wanted ,their were no more votes about this after that.
I should have woken up then .
