So there are only 12 magazines left!

ok, so hot on the heels of the announcement at the agm, we have been told that there are probably only 12 magazines left!.

yes, there will be only 3 wt each year, and 3 awakes.... and that they will do this for two years, then reprint those issues.... so yes, the "abundance of spiritual food" is limited to 12 more magazines..... surely, this is proof of the end coming so soon!?!

From all reports here ,the average JW could not debate his belief to a five year old child let alone an adult who knows a little bit more about the bible.

The dumbing down over the years of the "truth" is sure going to have repercussions in the future.

All JW`s want to do now is dictate to you what they believe and if you question them on topics of theirs you are aware of they dont want to discuss them with you and beg to leave.

Their is no substance in what they claim to believe where they can have a meaningful discussion with you when you know something about their religion.

I think the "Revelation" book was the start of my questioning JW interpretations of scripture .

Their was no way I could agree that the seven trumpets in the book of Revelation in any way related to the seven Conventions that started in Cedar point Ohio in 1922 .

And from then on even though it took many more years for me to finally cut the ties ,little things just kept adding up .and adding up and adding up.

However once I was introduced to the internet the floodgates opened as to what was wrong with the JW religion.

Now I know , and you know , far more about the WTB&TS /Jehovahs Witness than any Elder or any rank&file member or even the GB ,than they know about their own religion.

simply because they want to remain ignorant of the facts about their religion.

And the reason is you are not lying to yourself or deceiving yourself ,believing what you want to believe as they do .

The Change

the change has begun.

my jw friends that came to my house months ago finally have figured out i am in no way going to become a jw (how it took them that long i have no idea).

now the change to them wanting to have nothing to do with me has begun.

Many years ago my son got on well with a MS .My son has a huge collection of DVD`s etc and is a big sci-fi fan as was the MS.

He thought of him as a soul mate and good friend ,however when the congregation split and they were then in different congregations the MS dumped him like a hot potato with words to the effect "your not my problem now".

It was a huge wake up call for my son .

{ I must thank that MS if ever I see him again }

contrary to C.T.Russell`s claim they would never beg or solicit for money

That is exactly what the Governing Body of Jehovah`s Witnesses do

on a regular basis now in print to the Congregations

and on their JW.Org TV stream.

while visiting someone at the local hospital i saw this leaflet " will i need a blood transfusion ?

now i was raised in the belief that doctors are transfusion-happy and just give you one willy nilly if they operate , further that a trans.

My understanding of the Blood issue when I was was in over 25 years ago 1960-1993 ,was that blood was not to be used for anything ,in fact it was to be poured out on the ground .

It was not even permissible for a Jehovah`s Witness to use Blood & Bone fertilizer on their gardens .

Without their being sanctioned.

And it was most definitely not meant to be taken from a living human body ,then stored in a laboratory ,processed into various fractions ,then transfused into Jehovah`s Witness patients when needed with the approval of the Governing Body of Jehovah`s Witnesses and no sanctions applied.

I think the OP is phrased wrong ,I can go back more than 25 years and it was taught we were living in a spiritual paradise even then and were looking forward to the day when the literal paradise would become a reality .

Nothing new to see here.

another agm thought.

in tight pants tony's part, he mentioned several times that jehovah draws those he chooses and only those rightly disposed would come in.

and individuals that liked the literature but made no progress towards becoming jw were a "waste of time".. was he setting the stage for them introducing the thought of predestination?

I don`t believe rightly disposed is a new teaching i`m sure that was a term used way back in the 70`s-90`s .

However I think it had more to do with the attitude of those we talked to and whether they were receptive to the "truth" or not

Why is that,? The ALMIGHTY GOD of the UNIVERSE needs money that is produced by imperfect humans on earth to further his will.?

Am I missing something here ?.

Maybe more importantly are believers in GOD missing something here ?

Don`t all religions cry out for money ,more money to carry out their agendas ?

If their was in fact an ALMIGHTY GOD, CREATOR of the UNIVERSE then why is he/she relying on money from imperfect humans to fund his purpose.?
