many groups (jehovah's witnesses, mormons, sda'..) false teachers and deceivers today rely and depend on good works, their own righteousness, keeping the law, having a certain lifestyle or behaviour, being faithful in service and/or being baptised to save them from their sins.

however, all of the above according to god's word, will never save a soul.

I`m not depending on anyone or anything for my salvation , according to the Bible God condemned me to a life of misery disease and death simply because of what Adam and Eve did thousands of years ago before I was even born .

And the same for every other living person

I don`t consider him a God of love ,who in their right mind would.?

So i`m certainly not looking for salvation from him.

When is a church not a church?

the watchtower and jehovah's witnesses go out of their way to insist that they are not a church like the false ones of christendom.

so why don't they file an irs tax return?

because, according to guidestar they are exempt, since they are a church.

Watch Tower uses voluntary contributions to support Bible education and to provide humanitarian assistance.

Provide humanitarian assistance ? that`s a joke and laughable .

And they still refuse to advertise their religious meetings along side Church notices in Newspapers local and otherwise.

Funeral/Memorial at the Kingdom Hall ... Would you go?

let's say an aunt or uncle dies.

.

let's say you barely knew them.. let's say their memorial service was held at the kingdom hall.. let's say if you attend, you have to deal with shunning from family and jws, and you are forced listen to them present their paradise promotional materials, and the dead person's "earthly hope™", and let's face it ... the heeby-jeebies of having to be in a kingdom hall again.. would you put yourself through it?

My Mom's Challenge to Me

so my jw mom messages me on facebook last night and says she wants me, for a month, to read the bible, but first pray using the name jehovah and in jesus name and then read it with an open mind.

she is so ridiculous!

first of all, i do pray but i usually just say father and i always pray in jesus name and i find it ironic that she is saying i should have an open mind when hers is closed.

Ask your mother a couple of simple questions that she should be able to answer satisfactory.

1. Why didn`t both Jehovah God and Christ Jesus never shun Satan the Devil ?

Satan always had the freedom to come and go in the presence of Jehovah in heaven { JOB }

Jesus Christ spent fourty days with Satan allowing him to tempt him in the wilderness and after that was concluded Satan left him until another convenient time { Jesus never shunned him} Luke 4.

2.If Jehovah God loved the world of mankind so much why did he cast Satan out of heaven down to the earth to mislead as many of mankind as he could ? And that he has promised to do the same thing again after the thousand years have ended ? by releasing Satan from the Abyss to mislead as many as he can .?

Ask her if she would do such a thing to her own son.?

its sunday am and i suggest we go for a drive.

why i do not know as we have no conversation no banter at all.. so we did and had coffee.

while we were doing so and looking at the scenery i realized she was humming wt songs to herself.

Maybe you should have asked her who is going to farm the coffee plantations in the "New System" and what enterprising young brother is going market a "new World Starbucks" or the like.

Notes I drafted for a local JW at a cart

in recent weeks, a grizzled old man, obviously harmless, has been engaging with a nice lady as she regularly stands by her cart displaying watchtower material.. on monday, she eagerly wanted to know what this old man thought of the book she gave him, "what does the bible really teach?".

when this old man posed some questions, she was very keen for him to write them down.. she also promised to provide facts that earthquakes proved we are living in the last days.. anyway, to make a short story longer, the old man drafted questions and observations on the topics that were covered.. would you please criticise the stuff that this old man has drafted for his next encounter.

any help, anything at all, is most keenly looked for.

I would ask her to show you a scripture in the New Testament where Christians are instructed to be witnesses of Jehovah , just one.

When she can`t do that point out that their are about 20 scriptures in the new Testament instructing Christians to be witnesses of Jesus Christ.

my wife found my crisis of conscience book and out came the horns plus i guess what she is hearing at the meetings isn't helping either.

I'm all for preparedness, but the tribulation and armageddon are supposedly worldwide, where the hell are you going to ?

I don`t think Jehovah`s Witnesses have thought that one through,LOL

And what`s the point of meeting in a bunker waiting for the authorities to break the door down ?

my wife (uber) mentioned today an elderly man who comes to the kh and he suffers from a sever stomach complaint which needs surgery and that there is a 'waiting list' at the local hospital.. so i says, "why dont the elders put the $$ together to get his op done privately.

" (ie out of the govt system and 'waiting lists').

her answer was telling.

Charity is not a word that J.W. `s can compute .

The purpose and main reason for the existence of Jehovah`s Witnesses is to provide spiritual food and not to provide material benefits in any form.

That`s not what they do .

Why would they give any material assistance to a non witness who is a part of Satan`s world who is destined to die at Armageddon anyway.?

Their is nothing altruistic about the J.W.religion

The WT organization itself will not put their hand out / money wise for any members in the religion no matter how long they might have loyally served as faithful brothers or sisters .
