Hey jesus! So tell us all about heaven!

i always wondered, how come the apostles never asked jesus what heaven is like compare to earth.

and wouldn't they be bugging jesus to tell them all kind of stories of such?.

If Jesus had sayings of a life saving message why did`nt HE write them down ?

Moses was supposed to be a lesser prophet than Jesus , however Moses wrote down the first five books of the Bible , no mean feat since he lived some 2000 years after the events he was writing about.

Jesus on the other hand being the son of GOD and the future King ruling over earth for a thousand years apparently did`nt think he had anything to say that was worth writing down about for future generations .?

makes you wonder doesn`t it ?

I am hoping that her show highlights the many deaths that have been caused by the JW ban on blood transfusions since the 1940`s and the many children that have been influenced ,and coerced by parents ,relatives ,Elders ,and the hospital liaison Committee to refuse a blood transfusion in the hope of pleasing God and entering into a paradise earth.

A hope that is only taught by a few Governing Body men in America and made mandatory to all of Jehovah`s Witnesses around the world with the threat of disfellowshipping and shunning if they do not comply and has no credibility by any other christian ,Jewish or Muslim religion all of which base their beliefs in part or whole on what is recognized as the Bible.

The blood ban in the Bible was a dietry law not to eat blood and nothing more.

Jehovah`s witnesses don`t even follow their own beliefs that blood should not be used for any purpose but that it should be poured out on the ground.

Yet they approve of blood fractions that is derived from donated blood from other people that is stored in a laboratory ,processed and separated into the various fractions.

And it is verboten to even donate their own blood for this purpose ,but their quite happy to use blood fractions that other people have donated .

lm getting conflicting advice.ls it the 144000 or jesus.l was always under the impression it was jesus.lf its the 144000 then when they pray the jw;s should be praying through the remnant not in jesus christs name but in the 144000;s name..

What I could never understand is why aren`t any of those anointed in any K.H. anywhere in the world given any positions of authority in their local congregations ?

If Jesus covenant applied to him and the 144000 only then why aren`t the anointed recognized at the KH.? and given the due respect they should receive ? After all they are future king and priests to rule alongside Jesus.

And lets not forget that the J.W.`s were predicting the end in 1914 then stretched it out to 1918-19 and when the end didn`t come then many fell away from the religion ,and they excused that away as a sifting work also.

1975 was just a replay of what happened previously.

J.W.`s still didn`t learn from their past mistakes because they indicated that the big "A" would occur before the end of the 20th Century and that "Witnesses " would be enjoying paradise in the 21st Century .

Like the donkey that`s trying to reach the carrot that is dangling before him ,Jehovah`s Witnesses are striving to reach the carrots that`s dangling before them .

The carrots : The great tribulation , Armageddon , and the New World / Paradise

And like the donkey that never gets the carrot , Jehovah`s Witnesses will never get to Paradise .

We were so gullible.

How many on this board are aware that C.T.Russell stated that the 6000 years of human existence ended in the late 1880`s ?

It was about the year 1969 with the release of the book " Life Everlasting In Freedom Of The Son Of God" { " Life Everlasting" } book that stated in that publication that 6000 years of human history would culminate in the year 1975 in October.

I was 30 years old at the time and I had reservations about it.The G.B. at the time also stated that it the big "A" might even happen sooner or a bit later , however not years later maybe only a few months later because of not knowing when Eve was created.

how many of us would confidently say that we know more about the bible now that we have ceased being jws?.

i know that i was proud to say that i was a "serious bible student" when a jw.

we boasted about how much we learned each week, and how we shared bible truths with the community.. but it's only after leaving, and really delving into a broad range of research, that i realise how little i actually knew!.

If I knew as much about the Bible as I do now ,from this and other sites I would never have joined the Watchtower religion of Jehovah`s witnesses when I did in 1960 and became baptized.

So much for their is no clergy class or any distinction between a brother or sister in a K.H and any one else whether they give a talk , or a Co ,or even a Do and the G.B. ,they are all one and the same , just brothers doing their job .?

And I bought that shit 58 years ago.

More Congregations Being Dissolved - Atlanta, GA

so i had a chat with a pimo elder who lives down in georgia usa.

he said meeting with the co included direction for at least 12 congregations to be evaluated for dissolution in the near future.

i thought the bible thumping southern us was a jw hot spot?

i guess we all know the answer why this still happens... but really, why?.

just a month ago i was having some conversation with this sister and since i'm on inactive status, she was trying to get me to download all those jw apps because the "work is speeding up" and i shouldn't be missing out on anything from the org.

especially when they come up with all these "provisions" that intend only to benefit the members.

That is an excellent OP ohnightdivine I couldn`t agree with you more.

On the one hand they condemn higher education

and on the other hand they praise the works that higher education producers .

Just another example of the G.B. / J.W. speaking out of both sides of their mouth .

i am not going to delve into the opinions and information provided by the good folks on this forum on matters of health and science in another post.

instead i want to make clear that the wtbts provided a fountain of information on this subject.

I`m not sure whether these were actually in print or not however they were certainly taken seriously by the JW`s when I was in.

Aluminium pots and pans were a no /no to cook in ,you would collect all manner of ailments if you did so.

Another one was don`t put your trust in doctors because they were in cahoots with the drug companies producing pills and prescriptions to fill their bank accounts.

Rather go to a Naturapath or their equivalent who will give you the right vitamins and herbs to cure your ailment.

We had two very good JW friends when we were in that were sticklers for healthy food ,vitamins ,herbs ,and Naturapath`s , they both died at a young age from breast cancer and none of them ever smoked ,both born into the religion.

They never went to a doctor .
