On the one hand the bible says that the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one .

The God of this system of things has blinded the minds of believers

Satan took Jesus up to a high mountain and offered him all the kingdoms of the world if he did obeisance to him

etc,etc,etc.

And then you have Rom:13 -1 That plainly states that God Jehovah is responsible for Governments of this world and whoever takes a stand against them takes a stand against GOD ,Jehovah .

Another thing to consider is that the Tetragrammaton the four Hebrew letters representing God`s name nor its Greek equivalent four letters do not appear in the texts Jehovah`s Witnesses have based their NWT of the Bible on or their NWT of the Christian Greek Scriptures, nor in their Kingdom Interlinear of the Christian Greek Scriptures .

Inserting the name in the NT is just another lie to set them apart from Christendom.

The sinking of the Laconia two part BBC series

i have just finished watching this program and found it quite disturbing in the sense that both sides of the war effort had so little regard for human life .. it might sound strange to say that in time of warfare when civilian casualties are rife on both sides ,however i think this is an exception.. except for the courage and heroic efforts of the german commander of the u-boat who tried and helped so many people to survive.. werner hartenstein.

his name should be honored by all the nationalities he saved.. and i was appalled by the americans who bombed the submarine on the surface of the water with a red cross flag in full view with civilians on deck and lifeboats in tow with many more civilians on board.. i think this was an exceptional incident in a time of war that both sides should have given way..

Approximately 75 years ago still , and yes Cg America had not yet joined the war and they were helping to protect allied shipping.

However their were all nationalities women and children on the u-boat deck as well as those that were tethered in life rafts behind the u-boat .

The German commander gave assurances he would not target any rescue vessel and did not believe he would be subjected to attack displaying the red cross flag and having civilians standing on deck.

What Are The Differences Between JWs Born In and Converted?

i tend to think that many jws who joined the religion in their later years feel foolish or are embarrassed by their decision to become one of jehovah’s witnesses.

.

i’m not embarrassed by my years “in the truth “ because i was raised from infancy to believe everything was god’s word and who are we to question jehovah and his organization?

I converted at 20 years of age with an alcohol problem and wondering what was the purpose in life and wondering where my life was heading when a dormant JW coworker started to witness to me.

Left my first job after 12.5 years finishing my apprenticeship in leather goods then changed tack and took up laboratory work first in the photographic industry then finally in the oil industry for 34 years ,with a few jobs in between for a total of 54 working years

I own my own home and live a comfortable reasonably healthy life to date.

When I was a JW for 33 years I had no trouble identifying myself as a JW ,now however I am cautious as to who I admit to it if ever .

A few years back I actually gave a presentation to a community group about my experiences as a JW

All in all though I don`t mention it ,however if JW`s do come up in conversation I do speak of them negatively without letting on I was one.

So we are not all dick-heads Steel

I hate to tell you, but they would 100% disagree with you. They denounce "Christendom" all the time.

Except when it suits them to be a part of Christendom like when they acted as Friend of the Court in Jimmy Swaggart`s court case on his behalf.

Or when on the one hand they claim they have no Clergy Laity class but in a court of law they plead Clergy Penitent privilege .

Or when they adopted the same Bible books as protestant Christendom

Hey jesus! So tell us all about heaven!

i always wondered, how come the apostles never asked jesus what heaven is like compare to earth.

and wouldn't they be bugging jesus to tell them all kind of stories of such?.

Heaven , where could it be ?, between the earth and space ? between the earth and the moon ? between the earth and any of the planets ? between the earth and the edge of the Solar System ?

And have now even gone beyond our Solar System and never encountered heaven.

Spacecraft have been sent to the outer reaches of the Solar System and they have not encountered Heaven , God , or any of his Angels

And for that matter they haven`t encountered a GOD or Angels either that have said to them you do not belong here.

Psalm 115 :16 As regards the heavens to Jehovah the heavens belong

But the earth he has given to the sons of men.

Their have been six earth -moon missions that have resulted in not just two men walking on the moon but a total of twelve men who have actually walked on the moon .

So where is heaven ?

Then again maybe nobody has ever seen this series.
