These declarations make us wonder how the Society can reconcile their controlling and judgmental attitude and policies toward the brotherhood with those expressed statements above. What do you say?

I say, I can`t see how the WTB&TS / Jehovah`s Witnesses can justify anything they teach on any level when you compare what the Bible actually says about any subject and the interpretations the GB members through the WT publications demand their followers to adhere to or face a Judicial inquiry or be DF for not obeying the directions of the GB, who admit they make mistakes and are not inspired ?

Without ever apologizing ever for mistakes they don`t admit to ever making .

rumour has it that all of europe received the translation yesterday, because gerrit lösch visited the european branch in selters (germany).

can anyone confirm that?.

Celebrating China's Spring Festival (aka Chinese New Year).

late yesterday there was a phone call from an old friend who i had not seen for some 5 years.

let's go out to dinner to celebrate the spring festival.

i should explain that my friend had just arrived that morning from china, had slept for a few hours and then called me.

I just bought an original copy of the 1920s Millions now living will never die.

can anyone give me some of the most crazy wrong predictions in this book?

its a rare book that is a bit hard to find.

I was always a bit dubious about people who said the JW`s predicted the end was coming in 1925 ,I always understood that 1925 only dealt with the "resurrection of the faithful men of old " such as Abraham Isaac and Jacob.?

To rule as princes in all of the earth ?

Did I just answer my own question ?

Can you highlight where they state that the end would come in that year 1925 ?

I was a fan of Glenn Miller in the 50-60`s bought records of his music swing music as it was called.

I also liked the movie about him with Jimmy Stewart playing him.

The rumour was that his plane was accidently bombed by an American bombing raid while he was entertaing the troops during the war and we never saw or heard from him again.

Other great bands of that era were Tommy Dorsey ,Artie Shaw and Benny Goodman all excellent musos.

jehovah`s witnesses make a big deal about the 2 or 3 witnesses in judicial decisions yet they ignore that evidence when it suits them.. firstly :.

regarding the length of a generation matthew ch.1:17 gives a strong clue ,their are 3 lots of 14 generations mentioned which equal 42 generations from the time of abraham to jesus .. watchtower publications give abrahams birth as 2018 bc......they also give jesus birth as of 2 bc a period of 2016 years .

a thought struck me regarding the biblical directive found in a few places including exodus 20:4.

"do not make a likeness of god in the form of any creature that is on the earth or heavens ".

it would seem disrespectful to use "dirty" creatures to describe perfect beings?.

Genesis : " Let us make man in our image according to our likeness" isnt that self explanatory ,their are many GODS and they all look like us .

That`s very telling blondie. If it was/is a policy , that should be brought to the attention of law enforcement authorities and politicians I believe .

Isnt it unethical ? immoral ? to become aware of crimes committed by an individual and not report it ?

Wouldn`t that make you complicit in the crime ?

"Straining the gnat, and gulping the camel"

while watching the annual meeting videos on the official jw channel, i was struck with this scriptural expression:.

"they strain out the gnat, while gulping the camel" matt 23:24. this section was full of condemnation for the wicked religious leaders who were focusing on minor silly things rather than deep important topics.. the amount of silly things the gb focuses on is amazing!

they pedantically focus on things like proper pronunciation of words, (such as s lett joking about how isiah is best said), while missing major issues and topics like the proper handling of child abuse issues, or the court cases being lost worldwide!.
