Any person who thinks NK will attack the USA or her Allies with missiles or nuclear weapons is just not thinking.
He just wants the world to take notice of him and his country, not to be pulverized into oblivion .

Slowly killing them…
by silentbuddha inso yesterday a family friend who was never age overs witness give me a phone call.
he says that he is quite upset with me and wants to give me a chance to explain why i'm treating my father so portly.
mind you i have not seen my father or mother in about 3 years and they refused to talk to me except for the occaisional crazy letter that my mother will send.. anyway my the family friend stated that he spoke to my mother and brother and they both told him that because i choose to leave the religion and in turn separate myself from the family it has caused my 80 something year old father a tremendous amount of stress and she is becoming sick and they're not sure how much longer he will be with us.. shoot felipe nothing they say really bothers me much anymore but the fact that i'm being accused of slowly killing my father because i've decided to make a decision that's better from my own family is actually quite frustrating to me.. give you hours after having of the conversation with our family friend i get a call from my older brother who then begins to be raped me and tells me that i should accept responsibility for the fact that i am the cause of our ejean father's poor health and that leaving jehovah causes problems not only for me but for those who love me.

They want to blame you for the actions they have taken to shun you? That`s just crazy. Typical JW blame everybody else but themselves for the situation there in.
I like JaniceA`s suggestion see how that goes maybe with the added words" you left me I didn`t leave you".

i went to the door half asleep and asked who was there.
i heard “police.” my dog was going crazy, so i slipped outside to talk to them.

That would have been a frightening/weird experience JRK ,you wouldn`t want that to happen too often

I think it gets covered pretty well .Every time a new case appears in the "news" anywhere in the world it seems to end up here.
However you cant keep thrashing the same story over and over again where we have no control over what happens to the perpetrator or the victim.
As for the comment it's "mild" compared to the world.,I think its a lot worse when you take into account the numbers of JW`s in the world and the amount of child sex abuse cases that have been reported around the world.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Do you (or did you) have much of a social life as a Jehovahs Witness.
by UnshackleTheChains ini ask this question out of interest, because as a jehovahs witness for some 26 years, i have always felt that there is an 'all work, no play' culture within the organisation.
the organisation doesn't promote social gatherings.
i could count on one hand each year how many get togethers we have had.

We had lots of social gatherings ,picnics playing sports ,camping and dining out for meals especially after the Sunday meetings.
Also attending meals with a group of us that consisted of going to one another`s place for each of the courses.
Their was never any shortage of booze either.
This was all in contrast to the first couple of congregations in my initial 10 years with JW`s which were lifeless by comparison.

Welcome Spacegirl ,just make sure you lay the law down fast and hard ,otherwise he will do the bidding of the WT corporation/cult and your life will become hell.Give them an inch and they will take a mile.
By the way I`m a male not a female .All good advice from above.
Take care.

Which Things Did Your Overzealous Parents Ban?
by pale.emperor inwe all know the gb like to impose rules upon the rules... but did anyone else out there have parents that implemented rules upon those rules?
mine did.
my mum tended to copy whatever the elders wives were doing and took it to the extreme.

faithnomore it seems like you and me were the only parents here who had restrictions on what their children could do. LOL
My youngest son was a huge KISS fan that got banned
Smurfs ? not in my house
Both my sons loved "The Life Of Brian" that soon went off and out the door when john cleese started banding the name "JEHOVAH" around LOL
And while they could play sports at school extra curricular activities were out of bounds however they were lucky in the fact their were a lot of kids their age in the congregation and other close by congregations.
And they have since told me they all got up to a lot of mischief us self righteous parents never had a clue about.
It`s something we all have a chuckle about now .

Easybeats and Jehovah...?...Say Whaaaat...
by jaydee inhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3iw2_ec3ueu.
....' it's not all so uplifting, though.
wright's womanising and heroin use (dated here to the mid-1960s, not the early '70s as is generally accepted) regularly threaten to derail things; dick is torn between his jehovah's witness upbringing and the temptations of the road.

I`m going to have to watch this later,
.I think it was the 1963 International Convention in Melbourne Victoria when Vandesluy`s brother? Bob and his wife stayed at our house during the convention. They turned up with a small trailer towed behind their car and they wanted to sleep out their but we insisted they sleep in the house.
We moved to Redcliffe Qld congregation where his married sister? Henja eventually ended up at .
I often wonder if they are all still in the religion ?
