$5.5 Million to be transferred to World Wide Work from Assembly Hall fund

a letter was read tonight in our kingdom hall that the money that the circuits in the indianapolis area had in savings to build a new assembly hall will now be transferred to the www to build kingdom halls in lands where they are needed and a new assembly hall for us will not be built.. we had a beautiful assembly hall near downtown indy that was paid for.

it was sold a couple of years ago.

we were promised a new assembly hall to be built in southern ohio near the indiana border but they can kiss that goodbye now.

Isn`t this the type of information she could use ?

Also the loans to Kingdom halls that were cancelled out loans that may have had a few years to go that were then cancelled by the organization only to introduce a voluntary contribution that matched what you were paying on your loan but now you were committed to paying that same amount forever ?

If that`s not a scam then what is ?

Australian States & Territories Fail to Sign Up on a Redress Scheme For Victims of Child Sexual Abuse.

at a recent coag {,council of australian governments} meeting the subject/issue of states & territories to sign up for a national redress scheme to compensate victims of institutional abuse sexual and otherwise fell on deaf ears.. not one state or territory agreed to sign up .

not one.. i am sure the victims of child sexual abuse within various institutions not only the jehovah`s witnesses victims would be very disheartened to learn that.individual states and territories of government within australia do not support a national redress scheme to compensate victims of child sexual abuse .. the south australian govt.

to my understanding is they will never do so .

Thank`s for the post jochie I hope this helps to wake up more Jw`s in "Dutch" land that it is not an Apostate lie that their is an ongoing problem with the way the JW organization handles child sexual abuses in their congregations kudos to the dutch national Television station for airing this program I only hope they keep up with further developments in how the JW organization respond to such allegations and what they plan to do about addressing the problem or if they are just going to deny/ignore it.

"the black oaks" describes where i live in the california sierra foothills; we are, for the most part, above the fog and below the snow.

A sea mist rolling in giving you that eerie feeling of the moors of England or Transylvania where Frankenstein ,Dracula or the Wolfman were going to emerge from. I loved those movies when I was a kid.

Thinking back to my childhood in the 40`s and 50`s watching these B grade movies that never seem to leave you.

My wife worked at Hamilton Island for 3 months at one time and we spent a holiday their I gather you enjoyed your stay in that vicinity ?

Do or did you have family or friends their ?

That black and white photo of the "Tree" is so majestic and haunting I think it captivates a time of awe and mystery of what could or does unfold around it.

The current Watchtower organization has nothing in common with Judge Rutherford's teachings. They certainly have nothing in common with the early bible students and brother Russell.

Charles Taze Russell was considered to be the faithful and discreet slave in his day.

The current Watchtower organization keeps revising their past history to the point where it is unrecognizable today as to what it actually was.

What should that tell us about this religion.
