so almost two weeks ago, my boyfriend(who was disfellowshiped) went to the memorial.

he hasn’t spoken to his parents, friends, or siblings for over a year because of it.

the only person he keeps in contact with is his grandma, which is who he went along with.

JWs and daily Bible reading schedule

jws often point to this, to show outsiders they are allowed to read the bible on their own without the publications.

although, as we know, the org still teaches that you will never progress along the road to life without the pubs.

and, i would imagine that what they learn/conclude from their own bible reading, must remain within the confines of current wt teaching, even on the most minute points of doctrine.

Jehovah`s Witnesses fail in getting any accurate understanding of the Bible because of their refusal to consider any criticism of the Bible from any source or from any authority other than their GB which is totally biased with their interpretation of Bible Scriptures and their meaning.

i mean assad is not gonna gasify his adversaries when he almost won the civil war.

trump too suspended a very important trip to the latinoamerican presidents summit in peru, just to 'oversee the american response to syria.

Facts and details never seem to enter into a JW`s understanding of what they are supposed to believe .

King of the North /King of the South ? Who are they ? JW`s don`t know.

The attack on world religion ? It hasn`t happened and is not likely to happen anytime soon. ?

The so called last Judgemental message that is supposed to be given by JW`s D2D before the Great tribulation and Armageddon as opposed to the life saving message they were supposed to be giving these past 100+ years ?

Just a few of the "facts" that the GB of JW`s have stated in their publications that must happen before the end comes and they enter into paradise .

i read the talk outline #49 for this summer's regional convention entitled "future events that will require courage-the destruction of babylon the great.".

the jdubs live in a comic book world.

babylon the great is all false religious organizations and she is destroyed by those she seeks to control.

I thought that the fall of Babylon the Great was in the past tense. Wasn't that the title of the book "Babylon The Great Has Fallen."

True NY44M ,This book by the WT went into great detail how Babylon The Great had fallen and that God`s Kingdom rules and showing the decline in religious belief (according to them ) and how true worship ( JW`s ) was to reign supreme.

According to the book BTG GKR it was to include ALL religions of the earth with Christendom being the main offender and especially the R.C.Church for portraying the Pope as the Vicar Of Christ on Earth.

I see if not a decline then at least a stagnation of belief in the Jehovah`s Witness religion today and an upsurge in non Christian religions around the world .

I guess this is another publication of the JW`s that is destined for the scrap heap if it hasn`t already done so.

Detroit the movie on Netflix anybody seen it ?

a movie about the riots in the seventies in the city of detroit but especially with the reason for the riots and the attitude of police and how the nation treated people of colour.

and how they treated them and how the justice system failed them .. based on a true story.

i found it very confronting yet compelling to watch.. humans have a tendency to lump everybody together in the same basket ,however we are not all the same, their is good and bad in every race and culture whether they are black, white or brindle .. anybody seen it and like to comment ?.

Thanks Simon I will have to read the book "The Algiers Motel Incident" and according to the link you posted the movie while taking poetic license in some areas was largely accurate on the whole and the book could clear up those points.
