  Just a Rant .......

  hi beautiful people ..... so today is my wedding anniversary ....... .

  and first of all my dear husband forgot again .... which is normal according to my dear old dad "it's a man thing " .

  but to add insult to injury , i must wait till friday to be taken out for dinner , because low & behold my jdub husband can't miss one bloody jw meeting !

  Next time he wants sex tell him you have a 'meeting' to go too. Tennis club, cameras, painting whatever P&C (PTA). see how he likes it.

  Is there a surge in "Upwakers"?

  the stupid word in the topic title is a piss-take on the bloody silly jw word "needgreaters" that i have seen them use.. but my question is genuine, i know it is a cyclical thing, we get what seems to be a lot of newbies, and then things quieten down, but not just on here, elsewhere on social media i am seeing stories of people finding the courage to leave, having woken up for a variety of reasons, but usually the child abuse scandal, and the spiteful, judgmental nature of many jw's, who, though supposedly friends, will run off to the elders to snitch on you, not talk to you.

  is their a real increase in those leaving ?

  i do hope so, so many more finding real freedom and happiness !.

  I hope this is happening on all ex JW sites Phizzy as its very encouraging to see. Especially with the apparent reversal taking place in the JW religion .

  Their loss is our gain .

  the Watchtower’s lawyers at Clark Hill in Los Angeles initially had argued that
  the documents were protected by clergy-penitent privilege.

  Can you believe that ?

  To the general public : We are not like Christendom`s religions we don`t have a clergy laity class.

  In a Court of Law : We claim Clergy Penitent privilege .

  Such hypocrites .

  My story

  i came across this website when i was looking for some emotional/mental support lately as i was summoned by elders to explain someone’s report on me saying “i’m promoting homosexuality”.

  i’m inactive, not attending meetings or associating with jw outside of my biological family for almost 2 years now.. yes i am gay (you can judge away) and yes it is in a direct contrast to the scriptures, no arguement about it.. i was brought up in a jw family.

  my dad is a typical zealot, he literally talks or thinks about the bible 24/7.

  Leeny ,you need to know why JW`s are not the "Truth" why they are not Jehovah God`s spokespeople for today or any other day.

  Or alternatively if they are the "Truth" and are chosen by God and are the spokespersons JW.Org.

  You need to prove to yourself whether or not they are who they claim to be

  And the only way you can do that is do your own research ,if your not prepared to do that and you only listen to what other people say your beliefs / feelings will be swayed this way and that way.not knowing what you believe.

  JWfacts shows a lot of what the religion actually printed in their publications were they preaching the truth or falsehood.

  Hello Everyone, Another JW Has Left!

  just want to introduce myself and let you know that this site is working and is a big help to lots of jws with doubts.

  i've been lurking for about a year, the first couple of times i was frightened and literally shaking visiting an apostate site but it's the only place i can come to for sanity.

  the religion has become a nut house.

  Welcome Centaurus A their is a lot to learn on this site and when you have questions about anything feel free to ask.

  Nothing is off the table here .

  I hope you haven`t left the religion solely on emotional issues or simply because you don`t feel any love in the organization among the bros,and sisters.

  Delve into WHY the JW religion is wrong from the scriptures ,and their interpretations ,history, JW`s are not backward in changing their own history and give a sanitized version of their past.

  Honestly look at their past prophecy`s in their own literature and see how many times they have failed 100% compared to how many of their prophecy`s/ expectations have come to pass 0 %

  Source out old publications and the absurd things they published in the past that they no longer believe and don`t be sucked in with " the light gets brighter " either Jehovah is directing them or he is not .

  Finally , Jehovah`s Witnesses today do not believe anything that the International Bible Students /JW`s in 1919 believed when they claim they were appointed by Jesus as the Faithful and discreet slave .

  So if they were in fact appointed then in 1919 for what they believed ,they would now be rejected by Jesus/Jehovah because they no longer believe what they taught in 1919.

  New Zealand Begins Selling Kingdom Halls

  the wainui-o-mata hall is closing and from 01 february they will be relocated to the 200 seater hall in newlands.

  johnsonville is merging with the wellington west congregation and will be known at wellington central also to be located in the newlands hall.

  wellington east will remain in the hall in kilbirnie at this stage but rumour has it that this hall will also be sold and they will make up the third congregation sharing the newlands hall.

  I've heard on YouTube (a poster who knows folks at their branch office), that genuine regular publisher numbers are really down to about 5 million odd.

  My sister passed away this evening

  it was only about two months ago she was diagnosed with lung cancer and she was a non smoker .. she was never a jw and she never held it against me that i was for 33 years.. we had a good relationship even though we lived in different states about 2000 miles apart,.. tears are rolling down my cheeks as i type this .

  I thank you all for your kind words and condolences for my loss and to tell you the truth its like a weight that has been lifted off my shoulders now that she has passed.

  Up until that time grief would come over in waves worrying about her condition ,her pain,her suffering ,and my emotions would flow.

  I know that she is no more in pain and suffering and that it all happened in such a short time 2 months was probably a blessing in disguise .

  Once again thank you all for your kind words and thoughts.

  This topic has been going on for so long that it isn't "news" anymore. Just another kid(s) not getting blood when they need it.

  Isn`t that an indictment on us as ex JW`s that we have become complacent about this issue simply because its not news anymore because its been going on for so long ?

  And kids who have no voice of their own die because their parents belong to a religious cult ?

  Shouldn`t we be their voice in some way ?

  I really don`t know what the answer is ,maybe a petition to the UN signed by all ex-JW sites? I dont know

  its sad in this day and age that religion is still off limits when they should be accountable for their actions in enforcing doctrines on their members that are harmful and could result in death especially to children.
