  Thank you jtg for providing that information I was one who was afraid that the ARC might just be a toothless tiger and it looks promising that is not the case .

  Lets hope the State of South Australia follows suit with the others and make the much needed changes..

  And more importantly that the rest of the world take notice of what has been achieved by the Australian Royal Commission into Institutionalized Child Sexual Abuse of Children and do more to protect and compensate those that have been abused in the past and bring an end to it in the future.

  And didn`t the Angels kill 188,000 in one night on another occasion ? a lot of inconsistency`s here in this thread with these conflicting ways Jehovah does away with oppose`rs .

  On the one hand he gets humans his people to kill by the sword male female and children by the sword and not to feel sorry for them and then on the other hand he has his Angels to commit mass slaughter ?

  Do Christians even contemplate what it would be like to thrust a sword into an adult human being would be like ,now then think about thrusting a sword into a female ,could you do it ?

  And worst of all thrusting your sword into an infant , how callous is that , and then be told not to feel sorry for them

  However "Jehovah loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten son so that whoever believed in him would be saved " This after he had killed millions in the flood plus thousands, if not millions more during these first four centuries of biblical history.

  anyone heard of this guy?.

  he built up an insurance agency in michigan, and sold it for over 10 million dollars.. apparently, at his big office in novi, michigan, he only hires witnesses and they are all making big bucks.. i know an agent who was going to work for him in another state (they do business in 10 states i think), but declined to sign up when he found out the organization was owned and operated by witnesses.. he said: "that explains the ridiculously low commissions they pay their agents".

  they sell alot of life insurance.. why would this witness owned agency push life insurance if the end is so near???.

  Back in the very early 1960`s I became a believer very quickly and absorbed all I could in a very short time after about 18 months two years I had a fade for a short time .

  During that fade the P.O. who was an Insurance salesman tried to sell me life insurance as he jumped to the conclusion I had rejected the religion which I hadn`t I just needed a break.

  He didn` try to talk me back into the religion at all ,just sell me life insurance.

  And that`s not all ,his brother was the Assistant overseer and a couple of weeks later he tried to do the same thing ,they both worked for the same Insurance company.

  Of course I rejected their offer ,but why couldn`t I see the writing on the wall then ?

  Both their parents were well off and influential in the congregation.

  My then GF & I got back into the religion full bore and were married a year later in a neighboring KH with the wife of the Asst.Overseer playing the piano at our wedding .

  Years later we learnt that the said Assist. OS was charged with child pornography and sentenced to jail and his wife committed suicide .

  All of this occurred in Melbourne Victoria Australia many years ago. Central Congregation of Jehovah`s Witnesses

  I hope not to have derailed this post but it had to do with insurance and I couldn`t resist it

  I was a guy in the sixties and seventies that twice grew a beard and each time was told and "encouraged" to get rid of it and this was in two different states in Australia.

  I find it amusing about the illustrations in the publications of the anointed in heaven that all have beards men and women , even though their is no male or female gender in heaven

  That`s very interesting Old navy glad to hear of your experience.

  I`m pretty positive this same scenario was portrayed in an old war movie also where the call sign was "Jehovah" but I cant remember which one .

  Maybe its just me but I didn`t think it was hilarious at all ,not even that funny.

  However it may have been a little enlightening as to how JW HQ deals with callers .

  I will give that site another try just to see if they can do any better and I`ll let you know how it went.

  I did listen to another one ,but ??? Maybe it has its place in waking people up but ,I don`t think so.

  as all jw's and awakened ex-jw's know, the very existence of the religion is dependent on people's belief that the "holy trinity" of the wtbts, the ccojw, and the governing body (aka the organization) were personally selected by god/christ.. 1) mr. rutherford claimed that this divine choosing occurred circa 1919, and that all anointed members were personally chosen by god/christ to be the faithful slave.

  2) in 2013 this long-held, "profound scriptural truth" was discarded by apostates in brooklyn (the present-day governing body) when they personally decided that only gb members were chosen by god/christ to be the faithful slave.

  Some interesting facts:

  1. In 1919 the Jehovah`s Witness religion didn`t exist Russell and his peers were known as The International Bible Students Association, I.B.S.A. and not Jehovah`s Witnesses

  2.If Jesus did in fact appoint THEM over all their belongings as the Faithful & Discreet Slave Class because of what they believed and taught back then in 1919.

  3.J.F.Rutherford ,usurped the I.B.S.A. and morphed them into the religion of Jehovah`s Witnesses that he created.

  4.Jesus today would reject and nullify their claim to be the F&D.S.C. simply because they no longer teach or believe anything today as to what they taught and believed back in 1919.

  5.They can`t have it both ways either they were appointed as the F&D.S.C. in 1919 for what they taught and believed back then

  or

  Jesus no longer views them as the F&D.S.C. because they have turned their back on those teachings of 1919 and rejected them.
