Or maybe the court will just throw the case out as a waste of the courts time ,hopefully.

OK, I know this forum isn't exactly friends with JWSurvey, BUT...

this bit especially made me laugh:.

I think Jehovah`s Witnesses themselves including the Governing Body have done irreparable damage to the Watchtower Society.

Rationalizing
by Tiana ini have been looking to see what pimi jdubs feel about the csa when they hear it.i just stumbled upon this.. " in jehovah’s witness congregations, victims, parents, or anyone else, have always been free to report allegations of child sexual abuse to the police.
the troubling reality is that many chose not to do it.
they alerted congregation elders and went no further.

I noticed that Tiana never responded to any of the comments on her first post except to say she/he was not a troll and I don`t expect he /she will respond to this post either.
All cut & paste from JW.Org site eh ? Theocratic warfare at its finest
In Jehovah’s Witness congregations, victims, parents, or anyone else, have always been free to report allegations of child sexual abuse to the police. The troubling reality is that many chose not to do it.
And neither did the Elders who were made aware of these crimes against children and never reported it to the appropriate authorities or the police and chose to handle it in-house in case it brought reproach upon the Jehovah`s Witness religion.
The silence had nothing to do with protecting Jehovah`s name it was all about protecting the religion.

14 and this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.. oh, what fun it must be preaching in africa!
nothing beats sweltering heat with monsoon rains falling all over the muddy fields and streets.

This religion is way too restrictive
by Walrus ini need to vent about some stuff that this religion does to just about anyone at this point.
so i was raised in this religion and when i was 12 or 13 i told my mom (and step dad which has made my decision much firmer) that i didn’t want to be a witness because it’s too restrictive.
my mom proceeded to cry and guilt trip her way into ending this conversation.

Welcome Walrus glad to have you on board, great advice already given ,bide your time till your 18 and can go it alone ,but now is the time to plan your exit and what relationships you want with either your dad , stepdad and your mother when you are independent.
Take care and I wish you well

Research Opportunity
by researchstudentsophie inmy name is sophie, and i am currently in the class ap research.
the aim of ap research is to have students enter into an academic conversation that exists about a specific topic or issue.
for my research project, i have chosen to evaluate the social stress levels, or sense of belonging, within members of the jehovah’s witnesses community, due to my personal background with the religion.. the following attachment will help me collect data for my research.

Ok I bit the bullet and took the survey anyway ,though I`m not sure that they were really the right questions to ask of such a topic or that they were even relevant .?
Whatever
Good luck with your project Sophie

Disfellowshipped & Returning
by tartan4588 ini am disfellowshipped and have been going back for well over a year now but because its not my 1st time it will be a bit longer before i will write my letter, would really love to find others in my area who are in the same situation as some many know its very isolating, not mixing with worldly people and not being allowed to be with family and friends can take its toll on a person, just wondering if there is anyone in perth wa that would like to get together for a coffee, movie ect .
-
smiddy3
Welcome tartan4588 I`m in Gippsland Vic, and there are many more aussies here ,so stick around.
.I gather your still a believer and want to do the right thing ,so I would suggest you look up in your bible about the prodigal son Luke 15:11-32 read it and meditate on it and see if it agrees with the way Jehovah`s Witnesses treat there brothers and sisters who make a false step and stray from the "truth".
click the little envelope at the top of the page and send me a private message.if you wish or just reply here ,I would like to hear your response .

The most successful teaching of Jehovah's Witnesses and an amazing new book on the divine name
by slimboyfat injehovah's witnesses have had to revise their chronology and various doctrinal interpretations due to events and scholarly corrections.
but the one teaching where they have been consistently ahead of the curve is the importance of jehovah's name.. .
i'm going to run through a (necessarily selective) timeline of jw events and scholarly publications that demonstrate the phenomenal success of this teaching in the last days.

Getting back to topic ,I don`t think this fact has been brought out in Previous posts on this thread.
The "kingdom Interlinear Of The Christian Greek Scriptures " published by the WTB&TS a word for word translation of the Greek Text into English that was a basis for there NWT of the Christian Greek Scriptures does not contain the Hebrew Tetragrammaton or even a corresponding Greek equivalent of those four letters representing Gods name.
The simple fact is the Divine name Jehovah/Yahweh is not there in their own publication KI. ( the New Testament )

Will the org ever be forced to do this?
by careful inhttps://www.toledoblade.com/news/world/2019/02/19/nuns-priests-vatican-city-apologize-inaction-cover-ups/stories/20190220019.
the catholic leaders acknowledge "that their family-like communities blinded them to sexual abuse and led to misplaced loyalties, denial, and cover-ups.".
will the gb ever have to do the same, or will they just keep demanding silence from their members who know the facts and keep buying the silence from victims through confidentiality agreements when settling lawsuits?.
-
smiddy3
The GB won`t be forced to do anything they don`t want to do. Aren`t they champions of "Legally Defending The Good News " actually getting laws changed to suit there agenda ?
So I wouldn` hold my breath.

The origin of the word Lullaby
by StarTrekAngel inreading around the subject of lillith, the alledged, rebel first wife of adam, i stumbled upon this link and many others that link the custom of singing babies to sleep as an ancient jewish superstition.. http://www.jeanniemusick.com/lilith-world/lilith-as-the-origin-of-the-lullaby/.
some of the research could probably be argued but looking at it from the wt perspective and mirroring their usual reasoning, i could imagine the following.... ... it appears that the word "lullaby" originates from the the hebrew "lilith-abi", which means "lilith be gone".
jewish mothers used to sing these songs to their babies in bed in hopes that they would be protected from this baby snatching demon called lilith.
