The justice minister also insists that elders within the Jehovah's Witnesses movement should report criminal acts. There are claims that the names of child abuse suspects are kept in a blue envelope that hasn't been shown to the justice department. Moreover, there are worries that child abusers have been tried by internal courts and that offences have been kept from the wider public. Mr Geens notes that negligence is a punishable act.

I`m sure we would all like to be kept informed of any future developments .

Maybe if all of the men retained their beards Jehovah wouldn`t have abandoned them ,after all with the O.T. men it was a requirement to have a beard and it was never rescinded in the N.T. as they all had beards also.

( I`m not sure about the women ) but we wont go their.

C.T.Russell had a beard so he might have started off on the right foot appearance wise however he did have some wacky beliefs which Jesus in his right mind could never have condoned .

So that may explain Watchtowers unfulfilled predictions .

I dont understand why KH's are less attractive than churches

if they call themselves the "true", then why are most kingdom halls not as attractive as churches and dont do any better?.

I remember vaguely about a construction of a JW HQ in the USA going back to either the 1960`s or 70`s when it was a query why such lavish furnishings were installed into this building ,and all I can recall was this grand staircase and I think Gold furnishings in the bathrooms etc.

And the Governing Body response was something like " Well look at what Christendom does for there false gods so what more should we do to honour the true God Jehovah "

I think there was a brochure about it at the time .maybe someone can remember it .

And it or they are a vast contrast to what KH`s looked like .

i was just enjoying a you tube video clip of george carlin explaining euphemisms.

one of the ones he commented about is how people try to soften the fact someone is dead by saying, "they passed away.

" noo...they died!.

How about he or she is with the Angels now.

Or your dog or cat is in pet heaven now.

Or the kids fav .aunt or uncle who they finally twigged has died years earlier and are then told the newly deceased is with Aunt peggy or Uncle frank now .

However quite honestly I can`t see anything wrong with that ,its just another way of expressing the reality of whats happened ?

I`m talking from the point of believers in general here, I would never say Heaven ,Hell or Angels .myself.

I`m more straight forward .

I would probably say : the bastard or bitch is dead ,live with it and get on with your life.

inner court sanctuary praise palace paid $1.28 million to acquire the 5,092-square-foot property from jehovah’s witnesses.. the property will serve as a place of worship for the congregation, which is relocating from 1660 e. gun hill rd.

Those comments made me laugh.

The rank & file JW`s are hauled over the coals if they have any dealings work- wise as your business or trade or even on a social level such as attending a wedding or funeral in a church of Christendoms.

Yet the Governing Body / Elders of JW`s have no trouble at all in selling off WT / KH `s property for $$$$$ to any of Christendoms Churches with no consequences for doing so.

Their stink of hypocrisy must reach to the high heavens or maybe even the depth of Hades .

Elders need to be prosecuted for not reporting these crimes to the appropriate authorities ,either child Protection or the police in every Country .

Only then will we see a reduction in this sort of abuse that has been allowed to go on for so long.

Its an indictment against law enforcement agencies around the world that this has not been done already

Elders themselves have failed both ethically and morally in not taking it upon themselves to report these abuses despite what the Legal Department or the Governing body have directed them to do .

They need to man up for the children`s sake.

I would hazard a guess also that many who identify with a religion don`t actually practice the religion they identify with .

So wouldn`t / shouldn`t these ones really come under the scope of being of no religion ?

I`m sure we all know many people if asked what religion they are would give you an answer to this or that religion but have never gone to church and have no intention of ever going to one.

That could be ascertained by asking the questions ,

how often do you attend ,

when was the last time you attended

and are you planning to attend in the next 5 years or so .
