  When my brother's car would not start, he put the tractor behind it, put the tractor in gear and ran around and jumped into the car. The tractor climbed up on the car and tipped over. Boy was he in trouble!

  I never did anything to quite match that one.

  My mother often said that you should not say you can't do something if you have never tried. That had a big affect on me.

  Now my husband gets them all turned around. He has said:

  Balder than an Ace of Spades. That really burned my goat! They have us next to a barrel. Once he pulled the wool from under my eyes.

  The list is long. He has never gotten one right yet. There must be a saying for that, too

  A bit reluctant

  i'm a bit reluctant in writing this post, for i dont feel i should be here.

  even a bit nervous... .

  i've never officially dedicated myself to jehovah, but i was brought up in the truth, very strong, and at times when getting older, there were lulls in my attendance... yet to this day i still attend.

  I have been following this thread and want to also Welcome Saki and Hummingbird.

  I have been out for 5 years after being in for 30. All those years I was always bothered by "New Light". I would always think to myself "If they are indeed getting it right from Jehovah, then it would be right the first time around. There should never be a need for new light. In the OT there was never new light". But then I would tell myself that it did not matter because this is The Truth. Then one day I asked myself "What IF....... What IF it is NOT the Truth..... What IF.......

  Now I had to know for sure and so the researching started. I found much more than I asked for. I came on this board just in time for the UN exposure. The rest is history.

  There is nothing wrong with looking for proof.

  I play around with the Tarot, but I am also a big believer in gut feelings. My gut feeling concerning your question is a very strong NO. This is not the right time. I believe the card is telling you that you have wishful thinking concerning the letter, but either it will not benefit to do it now or it will be harmful to you to do it now. Patience. The time is not quite yet.

  Dead loved one calls home

  today, while at doctors appointment i met a lady in the waiting room and i just wanted to relay her story.

  she was eighty-two years old and sharp as a tack.

  we were exchanging pleasantries while waiting our turn to get in when she told about her four children.

  My sister's oldest daughter died in a horrific accident two years ago. Some months later my sister became aware of her daughter's presence and sat down to focus on it and heard her daughter say "Hi Mom". She talked with her for awhile and her daughter continued to come visit every so often. During one visit the daughter said that someone close to the daughter was going to be crossing over soon. The next week the daughter's best friend passed away and now the two of them come to visit together. Those visits make it possible for my sister to live with the way her daughter died. Her daughter was walking with a friend late at night on the freeway ramp and was hit by a car from behind and thrown into the air and came down on the freeway right in front of a car. It has been two years and the visits continue.

  I had a "visit" from a friend's mother who I had not seen for over 25 years. Her name was Beth but in the visit, she insisted her name was Rosemary. I looked her obit up on the internet and it said her name was Rosemary Elizabeth.

  Once you become open to this sort of thing, it happens more and more and it can make the unbearable pain of losing a loved one a bit more bearable.

  a passage from the new book released @ the dc p.131-2.

  "(malachi 4:1) in that day of accounting, young children (boughs) will be dealt with justly according to jehovah's assessment of their parents (roots), who are responsible for minor children.

  lights that have been turned off, magically turn back on and visa versa.

  So if it is about tapping into the collective consciousness, why do we need the board to do it?? Why can't any of us just do it any time we want? If I want to know what someone else knows, I should just be able to ask and presto, there it is.

  And then there was the time the board starting giving information that no one had asked for pertaining to an event that would be in the newspaper the following day. It had not happened yet so none of us knew it.

  So then the board should be able to tell Steve who is in his apartment because even if it is a spirit, it would be part of this collective consciousness and his knowledge would be shared whether he liked it or not.
