we've all got songs .
i'm not so much a movie/film affeciando, but i know many are.. music is more my forte.. i've been delving back deep into music i once used to listen to not only as a little boy, but also the time while a jw (1977-1984); post-jw and of course, years leading up closer to where i am now.. any recommendations?.
i noticed on some threads, that some youtube videos started right away; i liked that.
jamiebowers...the first video, One of These Mornings...that was beautiful and so sad. I also remember Patti LaBelle singing it on the Miami Vice soundtrack. Love that song.
Ms McD....there is another BT&H video that made me cry. I liked the song when I first heard it, but after seeing the awesome video for it, I loved it even more.

You too! I noticed you were back, and I've been gone before for almost a year. Quite a few times. I kind of have a lot of time on my hands now, so I'm posting more. I'll try posting another vid in a while. Haven't been able to sleep, and now it's 6am and I'm finally sleepy.

When I was a little girl, I was a very sad, introverted, and shy child. This song was one of my favorites, and still is. I think I was 10 or 11, and had such a crush on Chuck Negron. His voice gave me chills. Even though I used to get the crap beat out of me for listening to TDN, it was the only way I could sit through meetings without going insane. I would sing this in my head, and once I even wrote his name in the back of my NWT. I know I am going to be destroyed.
I would embed it, razor, but if everyone does and they all start at once, I think the board will explode. I wish I knew how to embed without it automatically starting, like "V" does. It's like that on other boards too. It doesn't start until you hit play.
after reading the news about puternut, i decided to compile some of his posts into one, so we can all share in his memory.
there are many ups and downs listed below, but i ended it off with a post he made to all of us who helped him during his difficult times.
puternut is starting his life over, because i had nothing left, and needed to move on.

each time i go, i see a bunch of happy people, young and old.
some smile more than others, but just about everyone seems happy to be there.. maybe we left because we weren't that happy, rather than finding flaws in the religion.. maybe they look happy because they aren't allowed to look sad..

as many know i left tennessee to help take care of my grandma.
she is back in the hospital, this is visit number 8 this winter alone.
the doctor's don't know what it causing her headaches and they are getting worse.
My thoughts are with you, junctions-wife.
my neice who had cancer died at 3:00 a.m. my sister just called and told me.

so much has happen over the pass years since i posted on this forum.
three years ago i posted my first topic about my mother, she passed away recently.
it still hurts to lose a mother, someone who gave you birth and raised you the best she could.
Please accept my sympathy for the painful loss of your mom. Also the pain of dealing with JW family. My mother acted the same way about my sister's funeral. Even though I know that it's such a cliche` now, I think every JW when faced with showing love or blind-less devotion to a society crumbling from its rigid rules and regulations....should step back and ask themselves...."WWJD?"
I'm quite sure they would be conducting themselves very differently.
The price of hating other human beings is loving oneself less. The guilt has to be eating them alive. They just don't know it.

i'm looking to put together a collection of scanned watchtower / awake articles and extracts of other watchtower publications to show non-jws (and maybe even some current jws) that highlight the control issues of the society.. .
i am thinking along the lines of the famous 1996 article with the caption "do you wisely destroy apostate material ?
i will obviously upload the collection when it is complete.. .
