Because of the natural catastrophes ahead I believe the UN will be invited to take over leadership of the nations, to restore law and order. Not sure whether God will allow the nations to use their nuclear weapons. That would ruin the earth and everything on it (cf. Is. 45:18). But I might be wrong

It won't be because of natural catastrophes that the UN is given authority it will be because of WW3. And yes, there will be the use of nuclear weapons to some degree. Even the WTS now acknowledge that.

If you do not believe the horsemen have started with their gallop, that’s fine by me. But recent and unique history does fit the evidence. Even if WW III breaks out now, that would be a continuation for me of the galloping horses. And I work out the quarter of fatalities since WW I. Lot of people have died already from famine, pestilence, war, etc. Agreed it might not be 2 billion as yet, but isn’t that what the GT is all about?

What about all the people that have died already from famine, pestilence, war, etc. prior to WW1? Was it not from the horsemen? If not, why would you think that it has been from the horsemen since WW1? In your same breath there you ask in regard to the 2 billion, isn't that what the GT is about? If that is the case, then since it is said that that the horsemen have authority to kill 1/4 of people and if that occurs during the future GT then why claim the horsemen began back at WW1? You saying that is claiming seals 1-4 opened back then.

Also, 2 billon are not said to die as a result of the GT, it is a result of the 'pangs of distress'/WW3. The GT is the 42-months that come AFTER POD/WW3. It is GT only for God's true people who are refusing to take the mark under the 8th king rule. It is from that time that the great crowd come out from.

When Jesus comes, he will also sort out “the man of lawlessness,” which I believe to be a group and not a specific individual (2 Thes. 2:2, 7, 8).

The MOL is the same as the 8th king/KOTN/disgusting thing.

When will the GT start? I am wary to put time and date on it. But the Bible is quite clear:
11 and there will be great earthquakes, and in one place after another pestilences and food shortages; and there will be fearful sights and from heaven great signs. 25 Also, there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth anguish of nations, not knowing the way out because of the roaring of the sea and [its] agitation,
26 while men become faint out of fear and expectation of the things coming upon the inhabited earth; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. (Lk. 21:11, 25, 26)

That is not how those Scriptures truly read. Are you not conflating here in this case?

[Luke 21:10Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11 There will be great earthquakes, and in one place after another food shortages and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and from heaven great signs.]

[Mark 13:8 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom;there will be earthquakes in one place after another; there will also be food shortages. These are a beginning of pangs of distress.]

Above is the POD/WW3 (Seals 1-4) which leads to the 42-months/GT (during 5th seal open), then below comes AFTER the 42-months.

There is no doubt that one needs to acknowledge Jesus:

[32 Everyone, then, who acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father who is in the heavens. 33 But whoever disowns me before men, I will also disown him before my Father who is in the heavens.]

The WTS surely does not focus/acknowledge Jesus to the extent they should, however, Scriptures like these have a greater meaning:

[31 But these have been written down so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and because of believing, you may have life by means of his name.]

[13 I write you these things so that you may know that you have life everlasting, you who put your faith in the name of the Son of God.]

[12 Furthermore, there is no salvation in anyone else, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved.”]

That name is JeHOshua and was given for a reason. That name means JeHOaH is Salvation. You can't put faith in his name without also acknowledging/putting faith in JeHOaH.

Revelation discusses God's day of wrath. Not one day but a period of time.
In it will take place God's judgments and the execution thereof.

[17 For it is the appointed time for the judgment to start with the house of God. Now if it starts first with us, what will the outcome be for those who are not obedient to the good news of God?]

The 'appointed time' of judgment starts with the house of God. That time is the 42-month rule of the 8th king. Then AFTER the 42-months the judgment of the nations.

[17 Between the porch and the altar Let the priests, the ministers of Jehovah, weep and say:‘ Do feel pity, O Jehovah, for your people; Do not make your inheritance an object of scorn, Letting the nations rule over them. Why should the peoples say, “Where is their God?”’]

[24 And they will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled on by the nations until the appointed times of the nations are fulfilled.]

[2 But as for the courtyard that is outside the temple sanctuary, leave it out and do not measure it, because it has been given to the nations, and they will trample the holy city underfoot for 42 months.]

I'm sorry, but I just don't see it.

I guess for now for whatever reason.

God's people will be protected from the trumpet blasts and plaques (cf. Rev. 7:9, 14). Temple is measured and belongs to God. But the leadership of God's people (the dining rooms of the priests were in the courtyard) will be persecuted for 42 months.

Who are God's people now? Who are the leadership of them?

Will God's people have to choose between taking or refusing the MOTB?

Who persecutes the so-called leadership during the 42-months?

Also, what about what I asked you here:

As I said, that corresponds to Matt 24:29 but regardless of if you accept that or not, in regard to the 6th seal celestial event it clearly states there that those seeing are hiding because the day of wrath has come from the one on the throne and from the Lamb. What do you say that day of wrath is?

Duran, if you can present me a scripture that says the GT is 42 months, I'll believe. The scripture you are referring to, says nothing of the sort. Note what it says: "And a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies was given it, and authority to act forty-two months was given it." (Rev. 13:5 NW) Nothing about the GT there.

LOL! Are you kidding around with me? I didn't just cite Rev 13:5, I cited Matthew, Luke, and John to show what and how long the GT is. Here they are again, and I will include Mark.

As I said, that corresponds to Matt 24:29 but regardless of if you accept that or not, in regard to the 6th seal celestial event it clearly states there that those seeing are hiding because the day of wrath has come from the one on the throne and from his Lamb. What do you say that day of wrath is?

Now the world seems to be on the verge of a great conventional war, if not World War III.

YES, keep that in mind.

As already stated, I believe the GT to be seven years in length, unless the days have been cut short.

You believe? What does the Bible say? It says it is 42-months long. And it is never cut short in the way of ending before it was supposed to. It is cut short in that it was given a specific appointed time to occur.

Luke shows that the GT is the time Jerusalem will be trampled for the appointed times which John shows to be 42-months. That is the same time period that the 8th king has authority.

If you believe the GT is 7 years (84 months), where do you get the addition 3 1/2 years (42-months) that you believe is part of the GT, other than the 42-months I have shown?
