Fink, that it is such an improbability is the hook for JWs. Only Jehovah would cause such an event. He will put it into their hearts and minds to turn on religion. At least that's how I remember it.

Witnessing Work to Stop?
by Sea Breeze inmy 87 year old dad called me for the first time in 16 years the other day .... just to chat.
i was floored to say the least since he didn't even bother to call me when my mom died several years ago.
he called again today to inquire how i felt about jehovah's witnesses.

Meet George Floyd
by cofty inhis murder was a crime and justice must be done, but it's sobering to learn more about the man who is being lionised by millions.

Cofty - I totally agree. My point is NOT about justified protest against police violence. It is the uncritical way the entire world is lionising a deplorable human being.
I totally agree with you too!!

Black Lives Matter—Do You Agree With Their Philosophy?
by minimus ini agree with people who say all lives matter.
i think blm is a racist group.
if white people pushed an agenda saying white lives matter, some people would have a conniption..

Considering that whites and others have been victims of police brutality as well, I’m all for the “All lives matter” take on the slogan. I do concede, however, that the blm slogan isn’t intended as a slight to other lives.
“I’m not sure any lives matter anymore” LOL tgnd

There’s footage of him trying to escape and resisting arrest? I missed that. I saw him being pulled from his vehicle, placed along a wall and then into a police vehicle. Then officer Chauvin pulls him from the patrol car and onto the ground. Why? The officers are then seen on his back and neck. Why? Because he didn’t cooperate after being dragged from the police vehicle? Furthermore, once he was on the ground and restrained, he stopped resisting. So why did Chauvin not let off of the man’s neck?
Protesting this man’s manner of death (and by extension other questionable deaths with little to no footage) is completely understandable.
tgnd and Quetzal - Agreed

Many people of color agree with her. As with all issues, the media will give a voice to the most extreme and controversial voices. I honestly don't know anyone of any color in real life pretending this guy was some type of upstanding citizen or hero.
Thanks for sharing the link

JWs and Covid Benefits
by minimus inwhat a wonderful time to be a jehovah’s witness!
for the most part you don’t have to go and preach you don’t have to go to meetings and you can stay home and watch what happens on your ipad.
these are the glory days!!

It is a great time to get reactivated. Just meet with the elders over the phone/zoom and get your login for the meetings!

JWs want to preach right now so very badly, they feel the fish are biting
by BourneIdentity inthey know many people are fearful and feeling vulnerable due to world events.. but something i’ve always considered is how will they be better off by becoming a jw.
they can be a jw, but the world events still are happening causing everyone anxiety.
and no, jws are not immune from this, jws are more anxious and paranoid as ever right now.

I think there may be benefits to someone who does not have a faith or social structure to lean on. Witnesses are very social people and the love bombing feels so good to the lonely. Also, hope is a very powerful motivator and the hope of a righteous new world is very soothing to someone searching for relief from oppression, depression or someone in mourning.

That's my opinion, too. ^
A jacked up situation that many are taking advantage of to make a point at the expense of the country and its citizens.

I will not be wearing a mask throughout the summer. As long as my immune system is functioning properly, I won't wear one any other time during the year either.

We said goodbye to the congregation we were assisting as need greaters and moved to another congregation under the guise of expanding our ministry even further. My husband told the new congregation that he was not going to serve as an elder until we got used to the territory. They were flabbergasted because of our history in the organization. Even more surprised when we dropped off the map a month later.
