  Rolf Furuli New Book

  for those who haven't come across furuli before , he is a 77 year old norwegian professor and is ( or was ) one of the few "scholarly" jws used by the society and used as a source on various matters ( especially 607 bce ).. however recently he has fallen out with the gb and has published an interesting book - like many recent scholarly apologists , he seems to be going down the road of disagreeing with the authority of the gb but still holding that the jws is the one true religion.

  kind of "lions led by donkeys".

  whether this view will continue is anyones guess.

  Looks like SARS Cov-1 evolved into SARS Cov 2 all on its own...

  SARS-CoV-2 probably arose in the same fashion.

  Viruses are incapable of reproducing on their own. Instead they take over the internal mechanisms of a host cell.
  

  It's roughly analogous to a tank bursting through the walls of an automotive factory and forcing the workers to produce tanks instead of cars. The copies of the original tank then go on to attack other factories.

  Sometimes two or more closely related viruses will attack the same cell at the same time and the result is a fusion between the two. --A chimera with an affinity for other species too.

  we have to get rid of these racist relics.

  i propose that we destroy all these bottles of syrups and burn every pancake box !

  we need to get rid of anything that reminds us of anything negative concerning slavery.. in boston they decapitated the head of christopher columbus and got rid of his statue.

  I see the old boy is still pushing the untenable position that there are, "...no legitimate uses of blood" despite the fact that it's incompatible with JW policy, which distinguishes various uses of blood based on whether it has, "..left the body" or not.

  why is there constant criticism about "liberals" driving new technology?

  web sites, social platforms, etc.

  if the us is relatively evenly divided, why do all "new" things seem to come from the liberal side?

  Thanks to Joseph McCarthy this has been an area of inquiry in the U.S. since the early 1940's, with numerous books on the subject from both political points of view.

  I was thinking... for all these people who want to remove every past mistake or simple history, right or wrong, it’s no different than what the Watchtower has done by simply removing past comments in their literature or removing the literature itself so that evidence never existed to support their wrongness.

  I would guess there is a difference between people who want the past erased and people who are uncomfortable with things that hearken back to it.

  If they were to take this character in a more respectable, less caricatured form and use him as an emblem/mascot for an investment house or financial advisor today, I'd probably be a little uncomfortable too.

  I understand this makes no logical sense, but then human emotions and gut reactions aren't logical.
