In the LDS faith, a person's testimony can be anything from a rush of emotion, to a providential coincidence, to a supernatural experience.

there is a spirit in various religions that confirms they are true to people
by enoughisenough ini just watched youtube warwick pimo -2 videos which i will link if you care to watch them for context.
he shows clips of various people starting to get involved in various religions and they are all saying basically the same thing- a feeling coming over them and that is how they knew they had found the truth...very interesting!
the first experiences are of jw, but other religions follow if you watch the 2 videos.

Are Atheists Hypocritical in Celebrating Christmas?
by Sea Breeze inrichard dawkins revealed that he celebrates christmas on radio four's today programme.. here is is quoted as saying: .
'i am perfectly happy on christmas day to say merry christmas to everybody,' dawkins said.
'i might sing christmas carols - once i was privileged to be invited to kings college, cambridge, for their christmas carols and loved it.

No, because partying, decorating trees and giving presents has nothing to do with pretending to be religious.
--Or sipping Glühwein in Germany, or dressing up as Krampus to frighten children in Austria, or putting your shoes out for Stekkjarstaur, Hurðaskellir, and the rest of the yule lads in Iceland, or swinging at a Piñata in Mexico, or putting Nisser figurines in you window in Denmark, or barbecuing fish and shrimp on the beach in New Zealand, to setting off fireworks in El Salvador, the observances are pretty far removed from American fundamentalism.

Fair point, Jan, but I think a comparable Christian parallel would be taking Communion or something equally serious.
Even the Christmas carols, like the one that gets stuck in my head every time I watch Three Days of the Condor, aren't a statement of faith to an unbeliever --No more so than singing The Legend of John Henry's Hammer would be.

--Struggling to see how the word, "hypocrisy" would apply, given the fact that it is, by definition, a violation of one's own standards and has nothing to do with the perceptions of others.
Was St. Paul hypocritical in stating (In a nutshell) that if an idol was nothing, than the idol sacrifice couldn't possibly be defiled by it?
I would say, "no." He didn't belief in the gods represented by the idols and therefore the customs held no significance beyond the mundane as far as he was concerned.

because recently, someone asked me a question in a thread, but i answered their question with a question.
and after being away from the forum for about a week, i haven't looked at that thread for their answer because i forgot what thread it was in.

Encouraging scriptures for the day
by Kosonen inhello my friends,.
here are some encouraging scriptures for the day:.
revelation 21:2 i also saw the holy city, new jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from god and prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.. hebrews 11:10 for he (abraham) was awaiting the city having real foundations, whose designer and builder is god.. revelation 21:24 and the nations will walk by means of its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.. revelation 22:1 and he showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, flowing out from the throne of god and of the lamb 2 down the middle of its main street (of the holy city).

So, what city it is?
My guess would be one with seven hills:

"Vaccines are filthy pus" - said the "faithful slave"
by BoogerMan in"death after vaccination: rhhe dayton, ohio herald, contains a picture of a beautiful little girl and the following pathetic account of what happened as a result of filling this little one’s veins with filthy pus, in place of the pure blood which god made to circulate there.

During the Spanish Influenza of 1918 - 1920, doctors attempted to concoct "vaccinations" from the blood and phlegm of the infected. (Alfred Crosby and Gina Kolata both document this fact in their books.)
These vaccinations were worse than useless, but nobody knew what a virus was back then.

Attention: Active Jehovah's Witness Parents
by Sea Breeze inthis young jw lady was shunned by her parents since she was 18 or 19 years old.
she was befriended by the older man that you see in the picture.
perhaps you recognize him?

These are Sarah Kellen's JW parents.
The older I get, the more disturbing that glazed, hypnotized, smiling with the mouth and not the whole face appearance becomes.
No parent in full possession of their faculties shuns a child. No one...

Doctrines and Bible Interpretations
by IWant2Know ini would like to know if ex's and formers who are not church christians, believe that many of jws' doctrines and bible interpretations are correct, or do you feel that they aren't?
.

Actually, it's not. Many Orthodox Jews have the same doctrine:
Completely wrong. The document you source was not even written by a Jewish person, much less a Rabbi. (Ten Commandments? Seriously?)
Even more puzzling is that the document conflates JW beliefs, including their strange categorization of blood components, with Judaism.
Speaking as a Jewish person, if you want real, factual discussions authored by Jewish attorneys, physicians, and Rabbis, I would recommend this site:
