  Does any one know what C T Russell died from??

  i know the wt has said why knorr and rutherford died but not russell.

  this omission seems somewhat strange, being that he was so prominant his followers would naturally be curious as to the cause of death of their beloved leader.

  here is a clip from 1916 12/1/1916 wt concerning his death no mention of what caused it.. http://www.ctrussell.us/.

  The only direct mention of any physical ailment related to his death that I've ever run across was "Cystitis."
  
  
  "Traveling all night then and reaching the home of Sister Frost Tuesday morning, it was not surpirising to find him [Russell] in much physical pain. His labors were telling on him more than ever. His overworked body began to break at its weakest point. Cystitis was becoming acute. We secured various things for him that morning--in fact, everything he wished, and he seemed to know exactly what to get and do. He worked faithfully on his case all morning; and although we had gone to see a doctor who was somewhat interested in the truth and who would gladly have called to see him, yet it was not his wish."
  
  
  "We watched by his side all Tuesday morning with but little to do except to watch and pray."
  
  "I called in the regular conductor, and telegraphed for a physician to board the train at Pan-handle; and he did. He saw the condition, recognized the correctness of the diagnosis and conclusion, gave me his name, and was off before the train got under headway.   Why was the Kingdom Interlinear Translation published?

  why did the watchtower publish the kit?

  (kingdom interlinear translation).

  both in 1969 and 1985 they came out with editions of this greek language translation of the scriptures.

  The JW organization has done several things that in retrospect seem very out of character. The JW Bible dictionary, Aid To Bible Understanding (Now Insight On The Scriptures) is one example. Another is the incorporation of a large chunk of their literature on a CD with search capabilities.
  
  I remember when the KITT 69 was released. This was well before the massive dumbing down of their organization. Learning Koine Greek was presented as a worthwhile endeavor at the time. Some Witnesses tried and failed, but a few actually did.

  Is JW all doom and gloom?

  i am in a relationship with a man who is jw.

  the things he tells me leads me to believe that their beliefs espouse doing nothing to better the world as it is hopeless, and all is coming to an end anyway.

  this seems like a cowardly way to face the hardships in this world.

  JW's do belief that the world as it exists today is hopeless. This belief explains much of their behavior --their "so what" attitude in the face of human triumphs and their general spurning of charity

  To be fair, JW's also believe that God will fix things very soon and turn the earth into a paradise free from sickness hunger or death. The problem for the majority of humanity is that only JW's will be allowed to live there.....

  I agree with Little Toe here. Color ultrasound images like those posted emote very powerful gut reactions. Even if these reactions are not completely justified from a purely scientific standpoint, understanding that their root cause is not stupidity, but one's humanity and compassion towards the helpless is a much better way to deal with them than scorn and ridicule.
