The uncertainty lies in the various calendaring systems and their tie-in to our own.
Even though the Babylonians and the Jews both numbered their months from Nisan, the Babylonian New Year began in Nisan while the Jewish New Year began in Tishri.
Since the Bible is not clear which calendar is the frame of reference for the events it describes, the April to October difference between the two introduces an element of uncertainty.
All of this has gone pretty far afield from the semantic logic of your video, which I agree with.
In the same vein, Jesus admonition to, "lift your heads up" when these events start to occur is rendered nonsensical by the idea that they started to occur 105+ years ago in 1914

No that is your problem for you do not exactly or precisely what year Jerusalem whether it was 586 or 587 BCE whereas WT has identified the exact year as 607 BCE and that is the very stark difference.

How are Jehovah's Witnesses immune from the uncertainty inherent in the Bible itself, over the counting system in use vis-à-vis the reigns of kings?
Do not Jehovah's Witnesses themselves date Nebuchadnezzar's dream of the metal image to 606/605 BCE?

I admire your tenaciousness scholar, but fear that your religion will eventually pull the rug out from under you on this.
I don't have an iron in this fire and don't care when Jerusalem fell.
I'm just speaking as a long time observer of your religion. This is what they've done to every other scholarly minded apologist.
Who would have thought they would have reduced the majority of study books over the last 50 years to nearly the status of fiction?

Rolf Furuli New Book
by dozy infor those who haven't come across furuli before , he is a 77 year old norwegian professor and is ( or was ) one of the few "scholarly" jws used by the society and used as a source on various matters ( especially 607 bce ).. however recently he has fallen out with the gb and has published an interesting book - like many recent scholarly apologists , he seems to be going down the road of disagreeing with the authority of the gb but still holding that the jws is the one true religion.
kind of "lions led by donkeys".
whether this view will continue is anyones guess.

Looks like SARS Cov-1 evolved into SARS Cov 2 all on its own...
SARS-CoV-2 probably arose in the same fashion.
Viruses are incapable of reproducing on their own. Instead they take over the internal mechanisms of a host cell.
It's roughly analogous to a tank bursting through the walls of an automotive factory and forcing the workers to produce tanks instead of cars. The copies of the original tank then go on to attack other factories.
Sometimes two or more closely related viruses will attack the same cell at the same time and the result is a fusion between the two. --A chimera with an affinity for other species too.
In this case, the other species is unfortunately, us.
