Fine work. I know this issue is very impotant to many here and I am also very interested, but it is understandable if the UN is not. They have people dying right now and others in severe jeperody. I dont know if the WTS is going to recieve much of their focus. Any official acknowledgement of this issue would help us tremendously however.

protesters against JWs at WTC on 9/11?
by concerned fiance inmy fiance's mother, who is in complete hysteria since the attack on 9/11 and went back to being a witness after 10 years (clearly the main reason my fiance is now considering he should go back)told my fiance something that she heard from one of the elders last week.
i am not sure if it is true and most likely, there is no way to prove it.
she said that on the day of the attack, there was a group of people outside the wtc screaming and badmouthing jws because they don't fly the flag etc.

Rex, that letter has a nasty tone to it. She sounds as if she is talking to the devil himself. There is no sign of love in her response to you and that is sad. Where is all of that damned love they keep talking about?

I understand you completely vitameg. I have had that same feeling for over ten years now. It fades away from time to time but it is always there. You have the right to complain about your situation with the org. Belive me here you find people that understand.
You must realize that you have lived your life for so many years forming a belief system around certain percieved truths. If you find that those percieved truths are not valid then you whole belief system falls apart.
It takes time to rebuild that system incorporating the new facts that you have accuired. No one here is going to have the answer for you. That is what we all must find for ourselves. But it's helpful to know that others know exactly what you are going through. -

Did you notice the tone of the letter from your sister? I believe she is very sincere and she cares for you quite a bit. It seems that she really does beieve she is in the truth and it hurts her that you cant see it the way she does. I suspect that you feel the same way for her.
The tone of this letter compared to some of the other responces from JW's might suggest that she is really not ready to consider her doubts. I think that Hawkaws is correct and I hope that you make it clear to her that you are concerned with her as your sister more than any dispute over beliefs. -
