  This too shall pass- there are not enough votes to convict- when Americans start seeing news of Corona virus deaths , the Senators will lose their bravery- who wants to be cooped up for 6 days a week on a trial that will end up in with the same verdict they knew it would have before it even started?- Once people start wearing face masks in DC, the Senators will quickly tire of the trial- Hey, I could get that virus! We gotta call for a quick Vote on this trial and then a recess, so we can get out of DC ( Bernie has an extra vacation house for my family), before we get infected by the hoi polloi!

  President Trump may have to declare a "National Emergency" to fight the corona virus- we finally will get to use the FEMA camps that Obama built.

  Printed literature was the way to preach for a long time--Luther's 95 Theses became the first best seller from the 70 year old printing press to be mass marketed to the unwashed masses-- the profits were immense-- But today, JWs can hardly give away free literature from those rolling carts I see in public places.

  Not invited to congregation “get togethers”. They finally said it

  we don’t get many invitations to congregational social gatherings.

  we don’t attend midweek meetings and miss about 1/3 of sunday meetings.

  we go in service at least once a month.

  Thanks Terry--Chinese parents let little kids pee and poop into city storm drains, too

  The media has already put together collage videos to explain the crisis- even using videos of sick people taken when the trees had all their summer leaves- who is going to notice that detail?

  It behooves us to use caution when dealing with media pandemics- I am old enough to remember the 1976 swine flu epidemic- where the vaccination shot could have been more dangerous than the virus--

  Children's TV is for feeling, not thinking and I quit trying to figure out why little kids loved TeleTubbies-

  I wish a JW would visit SpongeBob Squarepant's pineapple house- that would make for some big laughs.

  I find, It's not hard to make JWs look silly in real life.

  Anyway count yourself lucky now, if you had married this perfect girl and then she went back to the KH, the boss of your house would be the elders at the KH- not you. If you look for a girl on Tinder, I'm 99.99% sure she won't be a JW, crazy maybe, but not a JW.

  my wife asked me after the year 2000 came and went without fanfare(because the wt organization said all the “new world” would be here within this 20th century would end), “ what would it take for you to leave the truth?”.

  my reply was “ if i turn 60 in this “system of things”.

  I wasted 16 years myself-- and the last 10 were all on me, as I had enough information to leave in 1978, but social and marital pressure was hard to overcome- ah, the disappointment of 1975, morphed into, "the generation of 1914 shall never pass away" - PT Barnum was right, about the sucker part-- and the ghost of their dear departed Judge R is still pulling the levers at WT board meetings--

  Glad to hear you got, Woke!

  I have a 1920 Watchtower, with the earth shattering article from Judge Rutherford- "Millions Now Living will never die!" It was underlined, too! A die hard Rutherford follower gave it to me about 30 years ago-- before he died.-He was still hanging onto his Bible Students taught beliefs from the 1920's and 30's.

  Just curious-- did any householder ever try to talk you out of the JW beliefs?
