These questions show just how much work you have to do to deprogram yourself. Much love.

http://www.pewforum.org/2009/11/05/scientists-and-belief/
A survey of scientists who are members of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, conducted by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press in May and June 2009, finds that members of this group are, on the whole, much less religious than the general public.1 Indeed, the survey shows that scientists are roughly half as likely as the general public to believe in God or a higher power. According to the poll, just over half of scientists (51%) believe in some form of deity or higher power; specifically, 33% of scientists say they believe in God, while 18% believe in a universal spirit or higher power. By contrast, 95% of Americans believe in some form of deity or higher power, according to a survey of the general public conducted by the Pew Research Center in July 2006. Specifically, more than eight-in-ten Americans (83%) say they believe in God and 12% believe in a universal spirit or higher power. Finally, the poll of scientists finds that four-in-ten scientists (41%) say they do not believe in God or a higher power, while the poll of the public finds that only 4% of Americans share this view.

I submitted the following on the Disneyland Facebook page (link below) on December 19th after seeing JWs peddling their cult propaganda at Downtown Disney in Anaheim, CA. I finally heard back today and was told that as it is right now, they don't want to discriminate by revoking their permission for JWs to be there, but if enough people complained they would re-evaluate their position on allowing religions to spread their beliefs on their property. The man I spoke with was very kind but ill informed about JWs and their teachings.
Let's inform them and get JWs out of the Happiest Place on Earth. You can submit a letter to: [email protected] and make it attn: Demosthenes Miles.

Have any ex-jws considered joining the Bible Students?
by Rainbow_Troll intheir fundamental beliefs are much like jehovah's witnesses sans the paranoia, authoritarianism, stifling rules, and end-times enthusiasm.
you don't even have to become a bible student to be saved, you could be an idol worshipping heathen and still get resurrected in the milenium.
if i still believed in the divine inspiration of the scriptures, i would be a bible student.

I studied with a small ecclesia (group) for about a year. Very nice people who are very studious and take serious their personal relationship with God. Their general teachings make the most sense to me of any other Christian faith.
While their beliefs can vary depending on person to person, I believe most of them consider CT Russell to be the Faithful Slave, Laodicean Messenger, and Man with the Writers Inkhorn. Most also believe Christ had his parousia in 1874.
Like anything else, do your homework first. And, don't jump into anything. I would say stop attending JW meetings for a year, before getting involved in anything else.

Are Gods true worshippers on Earth today? If they are not JWs then who are they?
by Formerbrother inis there gods true worshipers on earth today as jesus said there would be?
if they are not jws then who are they?.
who else comes close to being gods true followers today?.

Hey Formerbrother!
I used to ask the same exact questions as you are asking. In my opinion, the whole "where else to go?" question actually results from a lack of understanding of christianity.
CT Russell's Divine Plan of the Ages is a really good read. I don't consider him anything more than a fallible man. Still, this book is a good segway for JWs to understand general Christianity.
