Watchtower and Brexit
by jwleaks inso britain is leaving the european union (eu).. the governing body of jehovah's witnesses have over the past year moved the majority of its european activities to the control of watchtower britain and the ibsa primarily because of britain's membership with the eu.. further, the incorporated pseudo-political lobby group, european association of jehovah's christisn witnesses, based in brussels, is administered by watchtower britain and its officers.
.
expect major changes in the structure of watchtower..

Let us not forget, if it wasnt for the European Union's high court overturning France's tax judgement against the JWs, they would have paid big money back about 6-7 years ago. -

Anti-religion T-Shirt idea
by Simon ini want a t-shirt.
something that says "religion is crap, i don't care which one".. i was thinking of adapting the "coexist" one to say "toxic" instead which is great because it removes 'science' but includes all the major world religions.. anyone else have any ideas?.
also a tag-line ... "whatever god you worship, he's a weirdigan".

LOL this is hilarious. Y'all sound like a bunch of JWs sitting around a dinner table making fun of non-JWs. Just a different outlook this time. I wonder if the core personality ever changes for some people, when they leave. Do they actually 'recover'?

Hey J M!
If you sent this already, you might as well resign from the JWs (if they don't DF you automatically). You will be seen as an Apostate. Plus, it is clear you love truth WAY too much to be a JW. You will never fit in.
The Bible Students are very nice folks. Perhaps I know some of the ones you have had contact with?
One should keep in mind that, from my understanding, many (possibly most) of them believe that C.T. Russell was the "Faithful & Discreet Slave" and/or the 7th Messenger (in Revelation). Some emphasize this more than others, however.
Just keep testing! Acts 17:11
PM me anytime!

Introduction - Any Believers?
by Believer ini’ve been reading it for a few of years off and on, but have been a little too ... maybe ... timid to join.
i left the watchtower organization almost 20 years ago but never abandoned my faith and belief in god.
i knew the gb/organization didn’t represent god, so when i lost my faith in them, i managed to keep my faith in an all wise benevolent creator.

Cofty,
I have said this before but here it goes again:
Cofty as a born-in JW - Spends time telling everyone they are wrong and he is right.
Cofty as an Evangelical - Spends time knowing hes right, and likely surrounding himself with people that believe just like him, and possibly spending a lot of time telling others how they are wrong (maybe on a forum!).
Cofty as an Atheist/Agnostic believer in Speciation aka Evolution - Spends a heck of a lot of time on an EXJW forum, believing he has it right this time, and telling others how they are wrong.
Notice a pattern? I'm sure 3rd times a charm. This time its different because he bases his beliefs on facts. I wonder if he said the same thing back when he was a JW/Evangelical.
Love ya Cofty

Hi Believer,
I do believe in God. I have examined both sides of the atheist/theist argument and find that the argument for the existence of an intelligent creator (God) is overwhelming.
I believe that by using deduction alone, we can be more than certain of this. The very first question should be: Did someone create the universe? Even Richard Dawkins admitted that a likely scenario was that an Alien race planted life here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-t-w26yhZ6M
The first question should NOT be: "is Speciation a fact".
May I suggest the book "I Don't Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist"? Of course, I feel that you should also examine the atheist/agnostic side of the argument as well
Cofty, how in the heck did you end up an evangelical after JWs? Did you turn to a particular ist or ism? Calvinist? Did you attend church?

Simon: What happens when you can no longer support this site?
by StephaneLaliberte inhey simon, .
the recent closure of jwr made me realize that this site may not be eternal as well.
a great deal of people attach a lot of importance to xjw communities and yours is the best.

I have a question that may have already been answered, but I have no idea how to search for it:
Simon: Why do you use something other than the standard forum format? This format is really nice, but it seems like it would be more expensive and doesn't have "notify me of response" option.
Thanks for all you do Simon.

Challenge to Creationists
by cofty inin response to the 37 threads in my evolution is a fact series - see bottom of op for links - perry posted a link to an article "44 reasons why evolution isn't true".. i offered him a challenge on the thread and by pm.
predictably he is totally ignoring it, so i am offering the challenge to any evolution-denier who thinks they have evidence to support their position.. please present one specific piece of evidence for creationism.. my task will be to refute it with evidence within 24 hours.. then i will present one piece of evidence for evolution and your challenge will be the same.. all posts must be as succinct as reasonably possible.
entirely in your own words, without copy-paste, videos or links.. please post your interest to take part and we will set it up before the first actual post in the exchange.

I have a hard time comprehending why someone would spend this much time on a public forum debating and trying to change other's minds. Didn't we stop that when we left the JWs? I mean, anyone can watch YouTube videos, research papers, or take an Anthropology course at the local Community College.
But hey, to each his own.

Oh dear. I don't understand why this isn't on a creationist/evolution forum.
