Why is it the most judgmental ones.....

being relatively still a 'newbie' of sorts (i've only been here a month or so).... the first thing i thought when i started posting here, was,.

'would they judge me here?

i used to study with her but lost contact for awhile after i moved.

so anyway, she is standing in my doorway making idle conversation and manages to ask her way into my living room.

QUESTION: What religion are you in now? ...

this got me to thinking.... now that most of us have left the wts, i notice some have taken other belief systems.

some have come to a peace with their own ideas.. my question is are you involved with another religion?

has it brought you more peace or happiness?

Regarding scriptural quotes in a post.....

this is in regards to a post by 'anewperson'.

at first i found it very interesting and was amazed at the wealth of information that is in refute to the way jw's believe.

but then i looked up the scriptures quoted and found that some of them, most, do not support the sentence in which they are mentioned in.

a jw at my work (who doesnt know i used to be a jw) is rambling on in the lounge about how the preaching work is still being done and doesnt seem close to being acclomplished all over the earth.

she also said that the thought of this system going on for another 6 or so years makes her sick!

she said she couldnt wait for armegeddon (sp?

Fear, nightmares and such...

okay, something has been bugging me and i'm wondering if anyone else suffers from the same thing.. growing up in the 'truth' i was given many scary 'visuals' as to what could happen in my lifetime.

i remember hearing a talk that my family taped that was considered a real eye opener.

it described no water, witnesses living in the cold woods.. your own brother being captured by the officials and ratting you out.

I'M A NEWBIE! My story...

i just came across this site not too long ago and have been reading the stories.

i am filled with relief and at the same time frustration mixed with tears, because i have been holding my story in and not sharing it with anyone, except my husband.

i have felt many of the feelings expressed here but was afraid to say them out loud for fear of being an 'apostate'.
