That's actually a step up from how things used to be, though I agree. Churches use their god as an excuse to get away with pretty much everything they want. Why do you think religion has become so unpopular? They blame it on "the last days" and "people being sinners" and "being close to the end" but the truth is that the vast majority of people have come to see churches and organized religion for what they really are.

The speed with which I exited!!

i was just thinking at how quickly the process was from pimi - pimo - pomo.

i must of spent about 10 years trudging along in the organization very unhappily.

but from the initial stages of learning ttatt to physically walking out the door the process took about 18 months.

Between PIMI and PIMO is a blur, as I can't pinpoint exactly when (if) that happened. I have evidence of not caring about the Jehovah crap from as far as being just a child. From officially PIMO to POMO, I'd say that my process was about 2 years.

aside from obvious things that most people agree on, like theft being wrong and the importance of family, i can't think of a single thing i agree with the jws on, nothing that's specific to their religion anyway.

They believe in being peaceful. I'm not necessary against/anti war, but I prefer that to be the last resort. I agree in their concept of thriving for peace, though they use the Bible to support that concept (go figure).

Also, I agree that abstinence from sexual practices is a good thing and protect people from certain things, but unlike them, I also believe that abstinence is only one of the different ways in being responsible with ones body, and with the decisions you make.

So in essence I do agree with them in certain things at a conceptual level. After that, we divert quite a lot.

I think there's more to the story than simply not having resources. I think that they are liquidating assets. Something's cooking.

Chinese government surveillance system....

I went to a conference in Las Vegas (DevLearn, from the Elearning Guild), and I saw quite a few interesting artificial intelligence advances. One was the Google toilet. The Google toilet can detect and monitor drug use, pregnancy, alcohol, infections, blood sugar and stress hormones.

They also had this interesting thing called "VGG-Face deep learning algorithm", that apparently can identify people's sexual orientation through facial recognition technology.

There was also something that they did in Japan with a pop music group of 48 young girls. 3 months after that group started, they added a 49th girl, named "Eiguchi Aimi". She stood out from the group, went on interviews, was featured in magazines, and gave a solo concert. Guess what, she doesn't exist. She was computer generated. She was generated out of the best features of the other 48 girls.

Technology is doing great things. How we use it, that's another story. I can picture public restrooms having you sign some kind of agreement that by using the toilet you allow Google to get your medical information through your poop.

it's almost 2018, almost 100 years since 'judge' rutherford confidently prophesied that 'millions now living will never die!'..

so how many of those millions are left?

well, since it was 100 years ago, all we need to do is find out how many people of age 100 and above are currently living.
