  Lying In Wait At a Bed & Breakfast

  a few years ago while traveling in the northeast, my wife and i stopped in new haven, connecticut, at a b&b we'd reserved for the night.

  no sooner had we unpacked and moved into the living room for tea and treats, our hosts began to talk about religion, and we learned they were jehovah's witnesses.

  i didn't mind so much, but my wife was outraged that our hosts would use their place of business as a launching point to do missionary work.

  Apparently this is considered okay and a great way to spread the word. But what would YOU have done? We were kind of stuck. My wife wanted to read in one of the living rooms but durst not go alone. I finally just asked our hosts to desist in religious discussion and they did, but we were surprised that they would use their B&B to fulfill their weekly stats.
  

  Trip advisor, yelp, hotels dot com, air b and b, pretty much every single travel and hospitality website that I can find, I'd give them the worst possible review. Also I'd put a complain at the BBB.
  

  Once you let them know that their preaching is not welcome, it becomes harassment. You are not a visiting friend, you are a paying customer and it is their duty to treat you like guests as any business in the hospitality industry should.

  Their reputation for using their business to proselytize should be known.

  not too sure how long it will be, but i think that i will not be in a position to look at this site.. i met some cool friends on here.

  i enjoyed having the speedy access to the private correspondence before the elders.

  on the local nyc 6pm news a reporter interviewed a guy behind bars for burglary to ask him how they scope out the people/house they hit, this guy just said he even put on a tie and pretended he was a jw while scoping out the place to see what their schedule is, to see if anyone is at home.. have to say smart move on the burglars part, but of course not a smart move at all to break in and take other folks property.

  Not the first time I heard of a burglar posing as a JW to gain information or actual entrance to people's homes. I don't blame the JWs for that one, though. I don't think they are responsible for that one thing that is created by outsiders. OK, I do know of an actual member of a congregation who did go house to house preaching and later would commit burglaries in the same homes.

  from nowhere that scripture they were always quoting at us came to me, something about don't be planning ahead for the desires of the flesh.

  you always had to be planning spiritual, theocratic stuff, entertainment and pleasure were a bit dodgy, better not tell anyone.

  Craziest meeting in last 10 years let's compare

  hi guys ,i'm new here 27 in 1 year out.. ive escaped 2 judicially by changing congs in rapid escape .i will tell my last dodged bullet.i swear these word as gospel honest.6 years ago in oz i'm in cong only about a year and tensions were running high due to a crazy old european bro ex elder who took no shit from the 10 apostles.i like him i don't know if it was the rebel in me or underdog syndrome but good guy 74years old he was.we just had this big sense the razor were getting sharpened.we arrive at thursday's night meeting my wife was at home so another big boring night i thought,was i wrong.the body has every mongrel breed.the three main characters were the italian dutch german,service committee.we start with song prayer ,the dutchy get up and says we are making adjustments to meeting tonight the arrogant bastard says only bible reading tonight then there agender.dutchy says.what is most amazing is these 10 idiots agreed to this changing of meeting program.
