Never had the opportunity. I travel, but it's never occurred to me to try a cruise.
I'm glad you had fun.
just finished a 7-day cruise from nyc on norwegian cruise line (ncl- gem).
this is my first cruise in 30 years, so my past experience does not count.. overall, a great experience.
ncl does a great job.

i remember having this feeling when i was younger that something was off when it came to meetings and the people there seemed just off.i had feelings like that when i was like 5 or 6 and i would say i was kinda dumb back then but still i had a feeling like that when i would not have that often.still to this day i dont know what got me to have that feeling i was just wanting to know if any had this feeling to and still cant remember what made your mind give you a red flag..
I did. As a child, I showed it by misbehaving and doing as much as I could get away with. Later on I decided to give the Jehovah thing a try, and wound up severely depressed, then angry, then I left.
yes that's it,.
happy dads day to one and all.. i received a lovely card from daughter with original artwork from her 'rug-rats' wonderful.. if i were going to the kh this am i would announce happy dads day just for the sake of it!.
LOL! I'm not a dad (as far as I know), but I like your post. Congrats.
in the last week i have had three visits from brothers.
so 6 witnesses in all as they come in pairs.
now considering i used to go to the meetings, sit by myself and literally no one talked to me - ever - why the concern all of a sudden?.
I hope you feel better. It's very upsetting to have a person coming to your house to criticize you that way. How stupid of her.
a brother used this illustration throughout his talk recently.
of course, it was meant to cause guilt in people like me or anybody else who might be prone to feeling guilty anyhow.
i approached him afterwards and said that he was speaking disparagingly of god's arrangement.
It's on now. He's going to be on your case.
august 31, 2017 to all bodies of elders re: procedure for handling certain cases of wrongdoing.
i have an online ex jw friend who pointed out to me that she stumbled upon a may 15, 1999 watchtower that had pictures of governing body members autographing bibles for people.
i have no bound volumes or cd rom copies anymore so i can verify.
two things came to mind, if this is true:.
Has anyone seen this??
Yes, I have. Also, back when I was growing up, in my local congregation many people were treating the CO as some kind of celebrity too.
How could men sign something that they did not write or create?
The concept of men acting as God's proxy and taking the credit is not new. One of the worst narcissistic personality disorder cases I've ever seen was this one elder that once he said that he is Jehovah.
Also, I remember one WT article featuring a member of the GB as if he was some kind of celebrity.
Isn't this worshiping of men akin to Idolatry?
Absolutely, it is according to what they claim they teach. However, by now we all know that they are full of --it, and that teaching and real spirituality are not their objectives.
when i hear prayers given by brothers why do they only pray for other jws not all people??
i remember hearing a comment from my mother saying 4000 jws are affected by this...and i'm thinking yes that is sad but what about the tens of thousands other people affected?
too me it just doesn't seem right to just pray for jws but to pray for all victims.
...why do they only pray for other JWs not all people??
They believe that the entire world is not worth saving, hence they feel like it's a waste of time to help people other than themselves.
i haven't posted for quite a bit, decided to share my thoughts on this one, so it is a reference topic for anyone who decides to return back to the org, knowing all about the tatt.
being way for quite long for almost 15 years and all wt's activities, i have missed quite a lot including the "new light" latest updates, i found it quite hard to follow up what was going on to the meetings.
new songs, wt broadcast, videos, internet (so wt now is in favor of the internet) cartoons, and everything seemed completely new and weird to me.. reason for going back it was the severe pressure from close family members to return back to the "truth".
That was the only reason, and I'm working on the fade out process. I knew from the very start what I was going to do but I guess, still is hard, despite the fact I knew what it would be like.
Got it. You didn't mention a son. That's reason strong enough to return. Thanks.
lets face it the watchtower's indoctrinations effect the way we look at the world we see governments as tool of the devil.
we look at our relatives different, we will not speak to our own children if disfellowshipped.. a better world is what christians promise believers, or hell for those condemned by the deity.
kiss the ass of the deity and go to a better world, and don't forget to put something in the collection plate on sunday.. to face death with out the crutch of a future better world for beleivers, is better, as you can cherish the life you are living and be more in the present while facing what ever life throws at you.
Your View Of Death How Much Does It Effect The Way You Look At The World Around You?
I don't have a specific view of death. My position is that I can't care less. It affects the way I look at the world around positively. The biggest stupidity (in my opinion) that many religions preach and expect from people is wasting this life preparing for the next or expecting that this life is spend earning a good standing in the next. To me that's the most idiotic thing to do with one's life.
