Fighting the Internet
by terraly inapparently the taliban agrees with the watchtower on the evils of free information:.

in some ways afghanistan is a good glimpse at what "theocratic government" under the watchtower would be like.

A Web of their own
by terraly inthis is an old news story but i found it very interesting:.

i'm sure the wt will keep on about the dangers of the internet for some time still, but when they get tired of that maybe they can take a lesson from scientology and create their own filtered version of the internet (think lots of wol and greatcrowd).

Jonah's problem
by terraly inok, so call me sadistic- but i popped over to www.watchtower.org, just to see what important, relevant issues they're advising their internet viewers about.
"the enchanting hue of koryo celadon" didn't hold my attention for long though, so i was randomly clicking through stuff and i came across this wonderful little gem under and article entitled, "why you trust the bible's prophecy" or some such:.

In a flash of blinding light...
by terraly inone of the traits that is most endearing about a lot of witnesses is that they will not listen to logical arguments raised by family, friends, or *gasp* apostates, but they will listen to the most contrived and specious arguments that the writing dept.
can spew forth.. then in the style of swift, i submit a modest proposal for getting past these defenses:.
distribute an apostate watchtower issue.. we all know exactly how watchtowers look- the size, paper, style of artwork, and phrases used in the writing.

Was there evil before Adam sinned?
by terraly inthis question is specifically asked of jw-apologists, but anyone's response is greatly appreciated.. is all evil in the world the result of humankind's sin?.
the watchtower teaches that the earth is old (in agreement with science), but that humankind is young (6,000 years as of 1975).
since they wish to have an old earth however, it is necessary to say that each day of creation is longer than an actual day- various figures are given i believe.. i believe i am correct in saying that the logical conclusion must be that animals existed for a long time prior to the events in the garden of eden and the sinning of human beings.
