I went back one time that was for my mothers funeral. I will go for my wifes father and or mothers funeral but that will be it.

this is simply disturbing and infuriating!.

the may 2019 wt has defiantly and arrogantly been released by the gb, and it is full of their disgusting excuses for not complying with authorities!.

(i have seen and read all the articles, but cant work out how to upload a link here - perhaps someone can assist?).

My guess is the article is more for the non witness public than JWs or their official doctrine.

I skimmed the article and it seemed like they were saying if a publisher or elder wants to go to the police its OK but for the congregation to take action as to the good standing of the abuser they need two witnesses. Did I miss something?

LHG, I know of many who died having to work part time to go with their SS check. I never did really buy into this. I would save and work long hours. I worked for about 15 or so years with an elder who I grew up with. Every Tuesday and Thursday he would have his wife pick him up and leave me with homes torn apart to finish the flooring by myself so he could go to meeting. I have no use for a JW.

so much is said regarding men , in a negative way.

shaving commercials are now lecturing us as to how bad we really are.

men should be less masculine.

Being masculine is not bad. But anything can be taken to extremes that are bad. Being a man does not mean to be cruel to animals, or women or someone weaker. That is just being an asswipe. But men are different than women. In general they are stronger physically. Mentally they are really no different but there are some emotional differences. It took me a long time to realize that when my wife would cry about something she did not need me to fix it. Guys are fix it if its broke or just shut up about it. LOL It took me a while to learn that one. In general women like things that men are not that interested in. My wife can live a a quilt show, and I at a gun show. I go with her because she has suffered with me a many a gun show. Today's society is trying to deny nature. Its impossible. Boys will chase girls and girls will play hard to get and the beat goes on.

LHG, I should have explained more. I do not respect him or look back at him with any affection. He was a selfish individual who put his love of attention and position above his family. In this situation he knew and I know he knew that the society was out there and not right on a lot of things because he told me with the I never said that BS. He quietly looked out for his situation knowing that the cult was causing others and his own family to make decisions that would cause them to have nothing for their future. He did not care. When I was first married and we were having trouble," we married at 18 both of us" his idea of help was to sit us down and give us a couple of platitudes and scriptures and then did his hit his knuckles on the table like "nailed it. " and walked out. He would call me and my next youngest brother outlaws like the rest of our fathers family. My mother was his daughter. and he had hopes that the third brother would be the CO of the family. Our youngest brother he would call retarded and mental because he was with drawn and not very social. So no I don't respect him and he can rot in hell, that I don't believe in. LOL
