  Millionaire JW Elder hypocrite?!

  so i know one should remove his own stick from his own eye before ones self judges another, but i noticed something.

  it seems that the wealthy witnesses are the elders, the circuit overseers, the governing body... are they really different from any other 'worldly' religions or even organizations?

  i mean look at the jewels the friggen pope wears.

  Bushmen were hunter/gatherers, with traditionally about 70/80% of their diet consisting of plant food, including berries, nuts, roots and melons gathered primarily by the women.   Shame maybe he always wanted to do Pirates ! He could of course join his local G and S Society ..............but ...............then again ......he would miss meetings and be slyly enticed away from the Troooof .   As mentioned this was "soap-opera' compelling stuff - even got up in the early hours to "tune-in" [ I am in South Africa] and of course having a local boykie as the lead counsel [ Angus Stewart] performing in high-gear ...it was like the Springboks beating the All - Blacks in a rugger world cup ....................! {ok ...all AnZacs take the piss ! }

  I got a voicemail from an elder about meeting with me.

  yesterday, i missed a call and got a long voicemail from an elder who would like to meet with my wife and i some time this weekend, with another elder who dealt with my brother.

  i haven't responded.

  it's meeting night tonight, and my wife has already talked about staying home to do yoga with me instead.. yeah.

  I told them I was suffering ADD [ Acute Doctrinal Distress]

  Then later I told them to **** - off or I would enter the hall and go amok ! [ I am a Depressive in remission - maybe they are scared]

  Although totally shunned we are not DF'ed yet !

  But .........go the route of peacefulness - be Gandhian in your dealings - you will feel triumphant and mentally healthier. .

  *Exception being the treatment of their own members eg Disfellowshipping etc/ shunning and related ...

  WTS Rich or Hurting for $$$

  seen a few discussions asking if the wts are hurting for $$ or still sitting on a mountain of gold.. regardless of their child abuse legal fees and ongoing broadcasting for more dough, i believe they have piles and piles of cash.. talked with a diff'd accountant who sat in the accounting dept.

  at the conventions for years.. a football stadium (or the like) costs them about $70 - 90,000 to rent for a 3 day dub show.

  they take in $400,000 in donations from the r&f.

  I don't think the sell-offs have anything to do with potential costs of lawsuits from Pedo cases - Were all the pedo cases to be revealed in one glorious moment of Apocalysis and All the victims commenced legal proceedings at the same time ...................no ...its not the case...imho !

  But membership fall-off could be a factor.

  I had reason to discuss the construction programme taking place at the South African Bethel - just this morning with someone [South Africa - where I am located] And this Bethel is now a major campus - it seems to be going balls to the wall there!

  Otherwise the GB are just highly deluded and convinced of the imminence of the Big-BuggerUp ....or there is some strange "Third Force" factor at play ????

  i seldom feel depressed, but i did yesterday.

  possibly, its because i'm likely going to graduate next year and i feel somewhat lost.

  the goal i've had for the last 8 years to improve my understanding of the china-asia nexus, will have been accomplished.

  I agree with LisaRose - What you have been through is merely a Wintery period of life .........After Winter comes Spring ........regardless of our age ! I was taught this valuable lesson by a Buddhist at a time when I was trapped in a severe depression [30 months] in 2010 ! She was right - I am now in the Summer /

  The season of your life will change.
