it has been 21 years since the 1995 article that pretty much buried the idea of the '1914 generation'.. remember those guys?

the ones born in 1914 that would still be alive when the end of the system arrived.. i'm glad i'm old enough to remember going from door to door, preaching this belief.

Thankful for my babies

i hope everyone is having a good day/night.

so i was just reflecting on how happy i am to have my babies, despite the orgs.

not so subtle requests that married couples not have babies in order to further serve the org.

We were strongly encouraged to remain childless - and so our first baby who has just turned 26 came along after we had been married 11 years/

She then had Bilirubin issues and we had to face a major blood issue just hours after she was born.

When I reflect back on how easy it could have been to have listened to this "sage" advice to remain childless I actually start to tremble ! Damn that was a close call !

he is the first in my family to graduate with a four year degree.

and he is already in talks for a teaching job.. so, gerrit lush....up your nose with a rubber hose!

most people who have confronted a jc, have tried to explain to the elders about what they know of the org but the incriminating questions always come up.. when confronted with the question, do you still believe the gb is the f&ds?

Oh we had this in our recent pre-JC visit by 2 elders :

So I found the Video and the Transcript of Geoffrey J before the ARC - you know, where he is asked if he believes the JW are the True org etc . Played this to them and invited them to follow on the transcript and then told them that my current position and answer to their question is the same as GJ's ! .................until further notice and that I am applying a "waiting attitude" .................................That seemed to settle the matter ................[and they retired until a further time" ]

Also asked for a Biblical ex-splanation of Bro Splanes splanation of the Overlapping Generations - No answer offered !

No JC ...............yet !

i remember many years back a fellow ministerial servant saying this to me.

he felt that even if jehovah’s witnesses were not the only true religion, the regimented routine of meetings and field service and the strict rules and enforcement provided a beneficial structure for his life.

at the time i thought if this wasn’t “the truth”, i’d have no need for all that “structure”.

He has not searched for or tried to truly discover what life ought to be about !

I ....."think" that after 50 years in the cult and now out I am starting to truly find the meaning of life myself ...Its a Nice journey now !

FayeDunaway = ditto ...In a post-cult chat with my children they told me in graphic detail about the father and elder I was and what life was like under me and my beloved at that time - It was horrifying to listen to that ! I wept openly.

Just been phoned by "worldly" friends - Straight and Gay to tell me they have seen the video and that its going Viral - I am in South Africa - \

We probably have of the most liberal Constitutions and stances on LGBT affairs - Even one of the Constitutional Court Judges is openly Gay -

Our human rights organisations would probably classify this as discriminatory - maybe even hate speech ??

Maybe they need a call in the morning !
