keep in mind that this is the most important night of the year for the witnesses.

i heard recently that there was a talk given at the kh about having a 'go bag' ready because the big 'a' must be soooo close as evidenced by syria and the russian jobo thing.. does anyone know if this 'go bag' thing is substantiated in publications or just a local nut job being paranoid and attention seeking?.

i also wonder about this 'go bag' thing, apparently, you need to make sure your biscuits (that's cookies to my over the pond friends), are not out of date.

I have not implied anything anti-JW by posting this - Just that it is so sadly funny ! His demands for one !

I'm 90% PIMO but events in Russia made me stop and think maybe Jehovah is real and helping

i'm at the stage where i'd love a big scandal to come along showing clearly that the j.w's are not the true religion, but sometimes i get touched inside by various thoughts or events, the russian court trial being one of them.. i mean, j.w's are understandably fixated with attending the memorial, so why didn't the court say it will resume on monday or tuesday, instead setting wednesday 12 april as the date?

part of me believes the comments from pro-j.w's that jehovah moved events so they could attend the memorial.. it seems the j.w's will not be banned, which makes my mind and heart wrestle between thinking jah's behind it, or maybe the ministry of justice is just woefully prepared compared to the superb australian royal commission team who did their homework.

it surprises me the russians seemingly haven't done any homework..

Ernest Gericke, in papers before the court, told Judge Bill Prinsloo that the “first business of the Christ is the legal establishment of the Kingdom of God on earth, known as the Jehovah’s Kingdom.”

Gericke said this involved the the conducting of a covenant for a kingdom, which is to take place on April 11.

“In order to effect the legal requirements for the kingdom this honourable court is requested to hear the public oath of the office of the King.

“The court is therefore requested to call the plaintiff (himself) to the stand to make his public oath of office before witnesses.”

Gericke said the members of the governing body of Jehovah’s Witnesses would on April 11 be presented “with an oath to the King and upon them publically expressing that oath, they will become citizens of the kingdom. The kingdom will then be established.”

He in effect asked that the court order that he be named “as the rightful leader” of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, so that he could start executing his duties.

Gericke Geriche said the matter was extremely urgent, because the date of the memorial of Jesus’s death is was this year on April 11 and he had to be officially appointed by then. He said he did not expect the application to be opposed, “because the governing body is aware of the scripture in Ezekiel” which made provision for this.

He said the governing body has had seven members, all of whom were “anointed ones”. He wanted the court to also make provision so that the help of the police could be called in if any of the members of the organisation disregarded the court order that he be appointed as leader.

Gericke said the head office of the governing body was in New York, but he wanted this changed, to reflect that the South African branch in Krugersdorp is declared as the new temporary headquarters of the organisation.

He wanted the court to order the South African branch committee to immediately make living and office arrangements for him and some other members and that all members of the organisation worldwide had to from now report to the South African branch committee.

Gericke Geriche, among a long list of requests, also asked for an order that those who resisted or contravened the court’s order, had to be arrested.

Judge Bill Prinsloo, after considering the application, removed it from the roll as it did not meet the legal requirements for an urgent application.

'Asking Questions' & JC's

on another forum, a user posted that their partner is being hauled before a jc for asking questions and, that the jc will go ahead regardless if in attendance or not.. the post does not say what questions were being asked.

Just a follow-up here :

Firstly the topic was raised by Tallon and not by me. [No ill-feelings Tallon]

Secondly as someone has just stated, There is no intention to litigate etc unless something really crazy gave cause for that. Besides I don't have access to unlimited dedicated funds like the JDubbery.

There was also some harassment of me taking place which the Legals have put an end to.

Thirdly - Mr Oliver - the resident apologist and polymath here - there are other details of which you have not been apprised that exist and the Legal folk are extremely interested in this as this legal team specialises in working with people who are extricating from High-Control groups and these details appear to impinge on some very sensitive areas within my countries very liberal and advanced Constitution.

However I personally am not wishing to do anything more except to bring down the curtain on my past life in the Dubbery! The necessity to involve the legal eagles was advice given in counselling sessions I have undertaken in order to "draw a line" between the past and the remainder of my life. I am not a junior member of society any longer - I have suffered severe depression in the last 7 years which took a major toll on our lives, Most of it related to the life as a Dub.

I do have severe anger toward the JW movement sufficient to warrant professional intervention ! I have to work on that full-time now as we continue to rebuild our new lives.

Should anything 'Interesting' transpire I will let the forum know . I hope not though!

Oh...the reason my questions became a basis for a charge of Apostasy is probably because I sent these questions by e-mail to the eldubbery and so they had something in writing. They are such cowardly cowering men. But not once did they attempt to address them.

I have been in full-fade mode for 4 years now and I have been fully and totally shunned anyway for all that time.

There is no loss to me socially~
