I did not wake up coz I was scripturally applying principles of being forgiving. longsuffering, just a test of faith, letting it go coz we are all imperfect, let love cover over it etc. Truthfully believing and I got screwed over for it.

I remember my orders were always pending for months on end,never reciving them.The literature servant was an elder and a regular pioneer who was not doing very well ministry wise at all despite the fact that he had so much support financially, and otherwise (it should have been a breeze for him as he had all the comforts and luxuries catered for with no expense spared. that is another subject in itself) Anyways we were spring cleaning the KH and i was in the store room cleaning away. I was moving some cardboard boxes when one s bottom gave away and books fell to the floor. Voila , all the literature that i had pending was in their(over 50 books no joke).It had been there for a while coz the box had water damage on it and that is why it gave way. There was a literature list with the date when it was shipped and that was shipped a year ago and just sitting there in the store room. I was shocked at the lies that I was being fed just coz my report perhaps looked so much better than his that the regular pioneer elder devised this plan to thwart it. Mind you i was not wasting Societys money coz all these books were spoken for. I would put in the money for it whenever I picked up any literature plus the receivers always gave generously towards the books which also went into the contribution box. I was not being wasteful. From then on I would just pick up literature by visiting other congregations and stopped ordering all together. This was the lords work supposedly and here i was being punished for doing it well.
I dont believe in confrontations,no point in muddying waters some more specially people with authority dont like to be challenged.I just analyse and learn what one is made of and get on with life.

i’m just sitting by the beach and i was thinking at just how oblivious i was to the religion that i followed.
i have mentioned this in past posts and am using this experience as an example not so much to demonstrate what happened but more of my reaction to it:.
there was a kh in my local area that 5 years previous had internal renovations done it.
they obviously renovated it again with the intention of getting more money when selling it off later.
I remember the KH my family went to ( a third world country with no welfare system or pension system in place,every penny you spent was out of your wages alone), the BOE came up with aplan to build out of thie rown contributions by all in the congregation. Yes , that seems ok right. But they calculated the costs of it all and divided it into how much each family has to/must give (not voluntary, not if you can, not if you have any funds, no looking into peoples circumstances at all) a set huge amount per family. Regardless my parents retired people with no pension or income coming in had to fork out the money. he with a few others discussed with the BOE about their circumstances (which as a BOE one already knows).Yet no compassion or consideration at all. Downright tyranny. I was told way later after he had paid out.The money came from him half from selling part of the small house he lived in and the other half he took out a loan.
Sad state of affairs . As the bible says all things are beneficial but not advantageous. Go Figure

ever encountered or eyewitnessed problems escalating, arguements and rows between elders right at the kh anyone?.
one such experience was just before the meeting was about to start,we heard raised voices from the second room between two elders.
a minute later two other elders went into the room and we could all hear that they were trying to cool the situation down with whatever was going on in there.

One such experience was just before the meeting was about to start,we heard raised voices from the second room between two elders. A minute later two other elders went into the room and we could all hear that they were trying to cool the situation down with whatever was going on in there. A few minutes later one of the elders storms out the KH with his wife saying I will not stand for this humiliation.,there was hush in the hall then .quite a disturbed ,sensitive meeting night that was.
This was like my first time seeing an elder losing it big time at the Hall itself.Made me think of the scripture where it says to imitate those who are elders or shepherding us and also that the elders deserve double the honor. The tension in the hall that night just shook me and i was treading on eggshells around that elder for weeks. Never knew what had led to that but I suppose many were disturbed by that behavior.

where i grew up ,elders kids used to steal from their dads wallet right in fron t of us , and say to us that " if you say anything no one will believe you, i am the elders son".this went on from bad to worse , he grew up a constant liar, wore earrings to college and questionable association and clothes, involved in all things worldly.
.i know this coz he had a worldy friend who lived next door to me.this neighbors house was his go to for a double standard life style.
Hi User99, I did do that a couple of times and immediately after the meeting I was taken aside and given counsel, lik i was doing something wrong. Then for 6months i was not given any part whatsoever to do.It felt like I was being punished in some way. this has happened not just to me ,to a few others too. Once you try to speak your mind as per the bble, you are let out in the cold.
In all this I was doing very well spiritually. Brothers and sisters , COS,DOS and Bethel representatives knew me perosnally and were of a high opinion of me. They always remarked on how well i was doing n encouraged me to move further up ie bethel service, translation department, special pioneering.
Ultimately I was invited to be special pioneer which I happily accepted.
A lifetime to talk about yet I am not old.

From changing into worldly clothes to cooling down from his hangovers and hiding all things wrong, was done right next door to us. We tried to warn a couple of times to the elder and his wife, we got seriously into trouble for that.Since then we left that alone.Yet the son moved up the ladders from a publisher to a ministerial servant without any trouble.On the other hand here was me and a couple more brothers who had to struggle to bequaified as publishers , then became regular pioneers , yet never recommended to be misiterial servants or anything for that matter.(i never wanted to be a ministerial servant under those BOE anyway). A few could see the partiality and unfairness of it all.
Anyone else have anything to share like this.Believe me this is just a tip of the iceberg. I have lots to share yet.
