  Para 8 "This does indeed appear to be a description of Jehovah’s anointed servants. They boldly proclaim God’s judgments against this wicked system of things and, as a result, make its supporters very uncomfortable."

  Actually when the time came to boldly proclaim that they have the one true religion,George Jackass very boldly said he does not want to be presumptuous in saying that. (In ARC in court)

  Quite some ballsy boldness there standing up for the so called Truth, dont you think? coz I dont.

  some would have even stayed in the organization if they became a bit more liberal and open minded.

  I certainly do not believe in an armageddon at all. It is all bullshit to control people through fear. If god really wanted a paradise for humans then he is long overdue,he has passed his sellby date(no offence to anyone just my opinion). Mind you this has been the tactic used by most of the cults to control people.This is the base foundation for mind-control in covert operations and training in the higher ups ie some danger that will annihilate /damage beyond belief! Check out the book by brice taylor...thanks for the memory.

  Cannot put it down.

  This book pre-dates Ray Franz book "Crisis of Conscience", written from early 20th century, shortly after the Jehovah's Witnesses were formed. The author describes the original true background of the Watchtower Society as a multi-million dollar publishing company. The only goal of the society was to push publications to make money. The author even describes the propaganda created by J. Rutherford during WWII that landed several Jehovah's Witnesses in jail/concentration camps unnecessarily under NAZI regime just to "prove" that so called true Christians were to be "tried and tested". This is a must-read for current JWs.

  A few lines: "While Peter conclusively showed that each christian as an individual would be part of that nation under god n christ, the watchtower distorted this concept and interpreted it to refer to a class.Thus this new nation , born in 1925 through the effulgence of the watchtower magazine was to have its end composition:a faithful and wise servant class, a theocracy of gold, ruling from the top down, as well as a theocratic mass of unspiritual Jonadabs, who have no part in this kingdom or nation, but are absolutely subject to its bidding!"

  Well written book in my opinion.I learn things that I did not before from someone who was alive in that period and describes it through his eyes!

  A Jehovah's Witness matter clearly not understood by a great many members (concerning imprisonment)

  during the vietnam war (1955 - 1975) young men reaching the age of 18 were required by law to register for the draft within 30 days of that birthday.jehovah's witnesses included.most jw's did not (perhaps never did) understand the situation faced by young brothers in the congregation.the general "understanding" among the rank and file went something like this.1.

  jw's serve jehovah as ruler rather than men.

  2. we believe "thou shalt not kill."3.

  Hi Terry

  I am so sad reading your life in this stage and that you had to go through things which I cant imagine coz I was not even born then.Things about war and life during those times is only what I have read in books or what the watchtowers have fed me.

  Your story touched me and I am so so sorry at 20 (not that there is an age for anyone to go through war and what it brings along with it) you had to go through all this . You have a very beautiful way of writing , Stories like yours needs to be revealed so more jws can read about facts rather than the ficiton jws conjure up and put on a pedestal!

  Were You Willing To Die For Jehovah?

  we were supposed to be dedicated unconditionally to jehovah god.

  we were willing to be persecuted to the death if need be.

  if it came to taking a blood transfusion or dying, we were loyal to jehovah and would be a martyr for god.

  Yes, full on ! I have had quite a few operations and each time it was a no blood at any cost thing (I stuck to the previous belief thatno blood at all, the fragments of blood thing never sat right with me.). A couple of doctors even said that it means we let you die without intervening if it involves blood that could save you.I was like yes,also I wrote a personal note to mention that the doctors did their best and I let myself die coz of my faith, so no one should feel guilty/bad if I did die in surgery. Thankfully nothing went off the rails.

  Now it all seems so stupid and beyond !
