The true comparison will be LIKE FOR LIKE . Check out how many free magazines are circulated in the US and how many are printed with money contributed by volunteers!
In my opinion the washtowel n amock magazines are just being dumped on people who further bin it, adding to the overly loaded trash in the world.
I remember jdumbs saying they binned a load of magazines coz they could not shift them but all these are also counted in the circulations comparisons, dont you think.

we don’t get many invitations to congregational social gatherings.
we don’t attend midweek meetings and miss about 1/3 of sunday meetings.
we go in service at least once a month.
I blackballed them all n felt good doing it.

One still had to watch oneself at these so called gatherings as to outfit, to casual, worldly in their terms, jokes or laughs too worldly etc .Sometimes it felt like another meeting night with food n some tricks added on. All the clergy (yes they do have a clergy class)n their wives keeping their eyes on each one to see if they conform to jw ways at the gathering or are a little wayward/casual.(dunno how to express it)
I had the meetings for that so why give another evening to this coat n daggers event!
