a wonderful book written by an ex jw, born in 1932. i find this book very informative, interesting specially coz i was not around then.its thorough, lucid factual,every detail referenced and analytical data is provided to authenticate the veracity of assertion.
a pretty good read indeed for pimis n pimos alike!.

There was letter sent to all congs about the setting up of zoom thing for their meetings and one of them did mention that "we shall let you know about donations later". I suppose someone can upload the specific letter. I will see if I have it .
So the money is coming soon/ just round the corner....

My congregation is something else!
by nowwhat? innot only do they want everyone dressed up for the zoom meetings( which i won't do) they decided to keep the zoom meeting at 1pm sunday!
so they don't upset their spiritual routine!

The best way to get out of Video zooming is to say your camera is botched, does not work!
No one can ask you to go buy a laptop or phone just for zrooming! If some eegit does then just say you can afford it,will you buy one for me! See them scurry back into their rat-holes and never bother you again about it!
There are ways out of this zooming thing people,use it.

SYNOPSIS:
Since the end of World War II, leaders of the Jehovah's Witness movement in both Germany and elsewhere have steadfastly argued that Witnesses were united in their opposition to Nazism and did not collude with the Third Reich. Documents have been uncovered, however, that prove otherwise. Using materials from Witness archives, the U.S. State Department, Nazi files, and other sources, M. James Penton demonstrates that while many ordinary German Witnesses were brave in their opposition to Nazism, their leaders were quite prepared to support the Hitler government. Penton begins his study with a close reading of the "Declaration of Facts" released by the Witnesses at a Berlin convention in June 1933. Witness leaders have called the document a protest against Nazi persecution, however closer examination shows it contained bitter attacks on Great Britain and the United States - jointly referred to as "the greatest and most oppressive empire on earth" - the League of Nations, big business, and above all, Jews, who are referred to as "the representatives of Satan the Devil." It was later, in 1933 - when the Nazis would not accept Witness blandishments - that leader J.F.Rutherford called on Witnesses to seek martyrdom by carrying on a campaign of passive resistance. Many ultimately died in prisons and concentration camps, and post-war Witness leaders have attempted to use this fact to assert that Jehovah's Witnesses stood consistently against Nazism. Drawing on his own Witness background and years of research on Witness history, Penton separates fact from fiction during this dark period.

My friend invited me to join in the vroom meeting of course to see what really went on. We made sure we had a background (via a projector and showed a library shelf full of jdumb books), and set the laptop in front of it.We logged in n we were just messing about during the meeting on our tablets, nodding our heads infrequently, had a good laugh!
So you can still be pimo just like you did at the halls!
We did not have to sit through the whole meeting either, my friend pretended to have accidently nudged the laptop which then blitzed us out .Did not bother to log in again.Was a good laugh though!

Legal Concerns About "Zoom" Meetings!
by Atlantis inthis whole "zoom" thing has got me wondering whether some of it is legal or not.
if a person has to dress up for a zoom meeting the way the watchtower dictates, doesn't this really go "beyond" cult?.
even the cults who committed mass suicide were able to dress the way they wanted for their meetings.

I also wonder if they will start disfellowshiping people online at these Zoom meetings also. Will a persons name be broadcast online that they are no longer a JW?
Will that information go out to people who have no right to know?
Surprise, surprise! Well I heard the very first disfellowshipping via the vroom meeting last week!
So it will be braodcast as normal .
