as opposed to blind faith/cognitive dissonance and honest mistakes.. i'm inclined to think they have the best of intentions and are just wrong (primarily because the bible is wrong), but i'm willing to consider the evidence otherwise..

Can all Explain what you understand from this verse/how it does or does not connect with the ministry that Jdumbs do? Bad intent or not you decide but I say inorder to keep them running on the hamster wheel, they have manipulated this verse.

"Let us hold fast the public declaration" - Hebrews 10:23a NWT means "go door to door"

Click the asterisk next to this term public declaration and, you'll find "public declaration" is "confession"

So what is meant by confession? Is it as suggested the public ministry of Jehovah's Witnesses?

background info: although i'm an apostate, i don't hate jehovah's witnesses, or the organization itself.

actually i find that many derogatory comments here are extremely biased.

i think most of them are amazing people, and i wish more non-witnesses were like them.

They exhort all religions to examine their religion.The only religion exempt from this admonition is the Jdumb themselves.

W 1963, Nov 15 stated: it is not a form of religious persecution for anyone to say and to show that another religion is false. It is not religious persecution for an informed person to expose publicly a certain religion as being false, thus allowing persons to see the difference between false religion and true religion.

But if anyone utters even a word against their religion/ even questions/ doubts anything - be it to understand or learn or catch them out in their own lies or wrongs; they shout persecution, propaganda, satans lies, apostates!

This is a religion that scares easily.

Truth stands upto scrutiny!

does anybody have a copy of the harbeck letters 1933 or does anyone know where to get a copy of it or just to have a read of it?these are letters that brother harbeck who was the branch overseer in switzerland wrote ,.

"a letter written by brother harbeck in august 1933 was given wide distribution among the german brothers and was used by the fearful ones in their discussions as proof of the rightness of their stand..."(yearbook of jws 1974).. i am looking for this letter in connection to a project.

@Bill Covert: Thank you for sharing your experience. I enjoyed it and found it interesting. I am currently reading a load of stuff from 1930s and jdumbs and find it intriguing, eyeopening .Thank you for sharing.

some people i know have not gone out of their houses in weeks.

some will walk near their homes and run right back in.

meanwhile, i go food shopping and i see tons of people, many with masks and gloves on..

By the way I still am door knocking (just cant give up this jdumb habit) to see if the elderly need anything form the shops. I clean everything that I touch and only then leave it at their doorstep .

I am going ou tevery day , early in the morning for a walk and a run for 4 miles.I have lots of stuff to keep me busy ,am doing them at a relaxed pace.

When out shopping perhaps every 3 weeks, I wear disposable gloves.when done with them throw them in the bin near the supermarket itself. then use a handsanitiser too. Gte back home wash my hands, face ,anything exposed well in soap water. Dry with a small towel, then it goes straight into the wash right away. May be this is a little OTT but I have the time and what have I got to lose!

Also anything that is plastic wrapped or in containers, bottles etc I apply soapy water on them and leave them for 20 minutes.Then clean them all with clean water, just incase someone who is a carrier has handled it.

I do not touch anything outside, take a strong stick to knock on anyones door if essential, I normally used to pick up litter when I saw it, not anymore coz who might have touched it.

OTT but essential nonetheless. Prevention is better than No Cure!

I am inactive for years now. i am still getting texts twice a week ,invited to the broom meetings without fail. Not one text actually mentions if I need any practical assistance in these difficult times.So much real(not) love is drowning me Mind you none of them ever bothered to give me their phone number when I was Pimi, not that I wanted it anyway,just saying.
