Oh, Viloetanai does dope. Now I understand why she wants to be a JW. From one addiction to another (drugs to religious opium).
To each his/her own.
basically we're all open minded right?
so lets put aside our negative comments and throw a cyber-space send off for violet's up coming baptism into dubdom.
she said she's planning on getting baptised soon and clearly our advice and negative thoughts are hurting her feelings.

a west milford man pleaded guilty to child endangerment offenses friday for sexual encounters he had with two teenage girls he met through his membership at the jehovah's witnesses temple in town.. tom blankenship, 23, had been befriended by an elder at the church and was often invited over for meals and visits, said joseph del russo, passaic county chief assistant prosecutor.. from the fall of 1998 through april 2000, blankenship had sexual relations with one of the elder's relatives, a 17-year-old girl.
he had similar sexual contact with another relative, a 14-year-old girl, from june 2001 through feb. 21, del russo said.. although there was no physical force used in the incidents, blankenship was charged with multiple sexual assault charges because of the victims' ages.

A suggestion, when writing up these articles, please make sure that you address everything regarding your line of thinking. Sometimes we assume that other's mental prowess matches our own, and sometimes that is sadly not the case.
I also agree with the French'ster that you should take a moment to calm down before lashing out, as it makes you look like a snake regardless of your motives.
I disagree with Pathofthorns that you will never be satisfied with anything the org does. I realize that you want NO protection for child molesters, and I understand that completely. I don't find that an unreasonable request, because I've seen that if you give this "org" an inch they will take a mile just to get you off of their holier-than-thou backs.
I appreciate you not allowing the WT to slap up some specious policy changes that SEEM to help your cause meanwhile letting the real problem lie unattended right under your nose.
Thank you for all the work that you are doing to fight child molestation fostered by belief marketeers.
in my hometown, this other witness and i were.
going from door to door one day when we reached one particular house.. the householder became so agitated by the presence of jws.
that he "sicked" his dog on us, but thank god it had a muzzle.
Hello Francois.
Please explain how the above experience was frightening to you. I would have considered that a disappointment, not anything frightening. I mean, perhaps you were afraid of dropping your britches on the spot?
before you jump the gun and start offering a friendly hand maybe you should take the advice given and do some reading & research here first.
you are going to be very surprised with what you find from these so-called loving x-witnesses.. let me give you a couple of examples.. go look up the topic: bryant memorial report.
read how sadden everyone was to learn of this man who couldnt deal with lifes problems and decided to become judge and jury for his whole family and took them out with a shot gun blast to head as they slept in their beds.
perhaps gettingout doesn't realise that Lotus was totally discredited in the other thread?
I don't think gettingout realizes that either. Then again, maybe he/she/it does and doesn't care because of he/she/it's axe to grind again ex witnesses.
i had this 'friend',she also goes to the weekly meetings of jw's.. actually we were good friends, but she had no respect for me sometimes.i just ignored that at the beginning, but she kept disrespect me,what began to irritate me.. i asked myself is she worth a further friendship and the answer was..no.. the past month i had a little fight with her and realized that i should quit the friendship, and i did.. my message for those who don't know: even within the congregation you have to look good who is worth a good friendship and who isn't.. better have 1 good upbuilding friend than 10 fake friends.that is a life-lesson to me.
blessed_girl:
You're right, but it's hard to find good friends in my environment who are not JW's.Of course it is hard to find good friends in your environment of those who are not JWs. It's because you already consider it a bad environment because they are not JWs. Why don't you try evaluating the people you meet before passing judgement on them, and you may find closer friends who love you for WHO you are rather than WHAT you believe.
It's a concept that some call "True friendship".
i visited some relatives in my extended family and found exactly.
the same situation as elsewhere in witness congregations.. the next generation of witnesses isn't there.. a friend of mine, who still goes to some meetings, made the.
same observation independently.
A peer into the cult mindset:
There is no scripture that supports destroying families, that’s why Witnesses do not destroy families.Note taken. Witnesses do not destroy families. Families stay intact.
Families are destroyed when a member decides go against Jesus’ teachings and the Bible.Whoops! We just heard that witnesses do not destroy families, now we are told why the families are destroyed by the witnesses. (And destroyed they are since the witnesses believe they are following the teachings of Jesus&Bible and they are the ones who decided to sever the relationship, hence destroying the family unit.)
They are also destroyed by members that are stubborn in their own imperfect human ideas and try to destroy their faith.Whoops! Now it is because of the other party's imperfect human ideas. So, since the witnesses are the ones who severed the relationship to family, we see again that the witnesses do indeed destroy families.
If the family is united in faith and knowledge then there is no division.Another Whoopsie! Since you must believe as a witness believes in order to refrain from 'dividing' the family, we once again see that the witnesses truly do destroy families, since 9 out of 10 disbelievers still love the family from which they are 'cut off'.
So we can see that the cult mindset is truly interesting. You can litterally believe two opposing points of view at the same time, and register NO contradiction. (Witnesses do not destroy families, but if the family is united in faith and knowledge there is no division).
i just wanted to let you all know.... .
i've been posting for an entire year!
and i'm almost an emperor!!!
Well, uh... Yay.
i turned in a request (by letter) for reinstatement last week and ive been informed that i will meeting with my original judicial committee this coming wednesday.
im very excited and happy, but at the same time i want to be careful how i conduct myself.
in the last meeting in early march, my reinstatement request was turned down.
I know it doesn't bother you Ernesto. If it did, I don't think you could truly live with yourself. (A Liar who trusts in God? Nah...) As I said before, good luck with your "reinstatement" as it were. Hopefully "the brothers" will accept your participation on this forum as a fine display of repentance on your part. They will look at every dodge, every duck and run, as a fine example of the conduct of a true christian.

I certainly did not duck out on purpose. I do have a life beyond this forum, you know. ...Yep. Deceitful as can be. I notice that you almost always seem to suddenly obtain your life away from this forum whenever a hard to answer question comes up. It sounds like a cop-out to me. You then try to minimize the social heat on you by pulling this stunt:
If you point to a specific thread or question that you would like to get my opinion on, I would be glad to answer. What a joke. No doubt you will suddenly become busy and unable to respond if the threads were even pointed out to you.
