It was nasty. The whole thing was nasty. Fakers, distorting truth, blaming God, refusing to apologize - they are super slimy fakers. The best speakers in the local KH were always the biggest hypocrites, mixing in truth with falsehood and all sanctimoniousness, but behind the scenes doing the most sketchy things. Cold-hearted, but all smiles the whole time. Nasty.

I think circuit overseers should have a job like the apostle Paul
by forzaitalia inam i being mean, thinking that travelling overseers should get a part-time job like paul did, in order to not be a burden to the congregation?
i wouldn't put my hand up when we were asked to raise it if we were happy to give £50 from congregation funds to the c.o.
so that he could take his wife out for a meal.

"My words of advice to any GB, Elder, whatever, Get a Job!"
That is very good advice, especially for Bethelites and COs and all the "special full-time servants" who don't have a place to live, since the WTBT$ is going to be gone soon and there are the full 3 1/2 years of tribulation ahead. There isn't going to be the WTBT$ corporation or the FD$ pyramid scheme extorting funds from religious people to pay for an unscriptural clergy class anymore. The "special full-time servants" won't be able to live at Bethel and the BOE/CO/Branch/ServiceDept/FD$ hierarchy will be gone, and with it the former arrangement with the "rent-free" apartments at KHs and the "provisions" of autos and insurance and food etc won't be available either.
Advice to anyone at Bethel or other "SFTS" right now: get out ASAP, start filling out applications for jobs, try to find a way to save for first and last months rent and security deposit somewhere or ask to stay with someone while saving up. Bethel's getting closed down soon and the KHs won't be available for the CO apartments either.

"Like the one made of dust, so too are those made of dust; and like the heavenly one, so too are those who are heavenly. And just as we have borne the image of the one made of dust, we will bear also the image of the heavenly one."
"patterned after the image of his Son, so that he might be the firstborn among many brothers"
Jesus set the pattern.
Jesus will eat and drink with those on earth in the Kingdom. He told the guy next to him "I will be with you in Paradise" and that guy wasn't "anointed" to be a king or priest. Jehovah ate with Abraham. Jehovah walked with Adam and Eve in the garden. All things are possible with God.
The Kingdom isn't going to be far away. Jesus and the kings/priests have to have a spirit body because of the work they will be doing, but they will also be here, able to materialize. Jesus set the pattern. The rest of his "body" (those in the king/priest assignment) will also materialize a body when they are resurrected, so that everyone will know and see.
Jesus said everyone would see, even his enemies. Jesus and the rest of the anointed will do their work in humble form, materializing bodies and hanging out with everybody. They won't be "far far away" like how the GB/FD$/WTBT$ depicts it. It says in Revelation that the New Jerusalem comes out of heaven. Later at the end of the 1000 years it says in Ezekiel "The name of the city is "Jehovah Himself Is There".
God is not partial. We're all His family.

In the live stream presentation of the annual meeting, at the beginning Kenneth Cook as chairman said..."We welcome all who are tied in remotely!" Which was funny, because so many "apostates" were tied in. During the livestream some on reddit joked that when they signed in to the jwstream they upped the number attending (since the link asked how many were attending) and some people put things like "100"...later at the end of the program, Kenneth Cook announced that there were about 95,000 tied in on the jwstream...it was kind of funny. It was also funny when Kenneth Cook slipped and said the recording of the final symposium would be released next month on JW-B Broadcasting (made me think "JWBorg" Broadcasting - do they call it JWBorg at headquarters too?🤭)
Here were some
highlightsdarkness/idolatry from the opening "prayer" by Alvin Bilobraily, Portugal Branch - "...thank you for all the spiritual food you provide through the Faithful Discreet Slave...the Governing Body has a very heavy responsibility...also provide spiritual food...through the Governing Body and also the many helpers....thank you...thank you for the Watch Tower Bible Tract Society of Pennsylvania...a great support to the Governing Body..." 🤢🤮🤮🤮Made me think of this passage...
Isaiah 1:10-17
"Hear the word of Jehovah, you dictators of Sodʹom.
Pay attention to the law of our God, you people of Go·morʹrah.
“Of what benefit to me are your many sacrifices?” says Jehovah.
“I have had enough of your burnt offerings of rams and the fat of well-fed animals,
And I have no delight in the blood of young bulls and lambs and goats.
When you come to appear before me,
Who has required this from you,
This trampling of my courtyards?
Stop bringing in any more worthless grain offerings.
Your incense is detestable to me.
New moons, sabbaths, the calling of conventions
—I cannot put up with the use of magical power along with your solemn assembly.
I have hated your new moons and your festivals.
They have become a burden to me; I am tired of bearing them.
And when you spread out your palms, I hide my eyes from you.
Although you offer many prayers, I am not listening;
Your hands are filled with blood.
Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
Remove your evil deeds from my sight;
Stop doing bad.
Learn to do good, seek justice,
Correct the oppressor,
Defend the rights of the fatherless child,
And plead the cause of the widow.”

The WTBT$ gives honor and prominence to COs, says they are examples to be imitated, but that's not what the Bible says. The Bible clearly says to avoid those who don't want to work to support their "ministry" because they are disobedient to Christ and they are meddling with peoples' lives in a disorderly way.
2 Thessalonians 3:6-15
"Now we are giving you instructions, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to withdraw from every brother who is walking disorderly and not according to the tradition that you received from us. For you yourselves know how you should imitate us, because we did not behave in a disorderly way among you, nor did we eat anyone’s food free. On the contrary, by labor and toil we were working night and day so as not to impose an expensive burden on any one of you. Not that we do not have authority, but we wanted to offer ourselves as an example for you to imitate. In fact, when we were with you, we used to give you this order: “If anyone does not want to work, neither let him eat.”
"For we hear that some are walking disorderly among you, not working at all, but meddling with what does not concern them. To such people we give the order and exhortation in the Lord Jesus Christ that they should work quietly and eat food they themselves earn. For your part, brothers, do not give up in doing good. But if anyone is not obedient to our word through this letter, keep this one marked and stop associating with him, so that he may become ashamed. And yet do not consider him an enemy, but continue admonishing him as a brother."
The entire WTBT$ hierarchy is antichrist and unscriptural, from the BOEs with their JCs to the COs to Bethel to the FD$/GB. Christ will remove it shortly, the whole fraudulent kit-n-kaboodle at once.

"Around 1918 the ones who have died before then were resurrected, and since that time the anointed who died have been raised up. It is known."
That's a lie.
When Jesus was resurrected, there were witnesses.
When there were resurrections in the past, there were witnesses.
There are no witnesses to that fake resurrection claim of the GB.
No one besides Jesus has been resurrected to heaven. When the anointed are resurrected, everyone will know because there will be witnesses. Jesus ate with people after he was resurrected before he ascended to heaven. Jesus hung out with people, materialized a body, and walked around with people, before he ascended to heaven. It will be the same when the resurrection of the 144,000 happens. Everyone will know. It doesn't happen until near the end of the tribulation. The apostles are still dead. Anyone anointed who died is still dead. They didn't get resurrected yet.
The GB are liars and frauds, just like the rest of the Christendom lying clergy that keep telling people the resurrection to heaven of the anointed already happened. It didn't happen yet. Everyone will know when it does.

"I have always thought it arrogant to assume that individuals who say they are anointed are definitely in heaven once they've died. For decades, the org has said things like "So-and-So .... has received their heavenly reward"
If the GB are now openly acknowledging that only Jehovah and Jesus determine who will be resurrected to earth, surely the same is true regarding who is resurrected to a heavenly place [given that JW teaching is that not all go to heaven, of course]?
They have already recently spelled out clearly (in an attempt to explain the surge in partakers) that a person "believing sincerely" that they are anointed is not proof they are actually anointed (although that somewhat undermines Romans 8:16). Coupled with this "clarification", that openly calls into question the organisation's assumption that every member of the GB past and present - and various faithful 20th Century oldtimers - are guaranteed a place in heaven
If it's "above their pay grade" to decide about the earthly resurrection, surely it's even moreso with the heavenly resurrection?"
Yeah, especially since the scriptures show that nobody has ever been resurrected to heaven yet except for Jesus.
2 Timothy 2:16-18
"But reject empty speeches that violate what is holy, for they will lead to more and more ungodliness, and their word will spread like gangrene. Hy·me·naeʹus and Phi·leʹtus are among them. These men have deviated from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already occurred, and they are subverting the faith of some."
In the first century apostasy, there were bozos saying the heavenly resurrection already occurred. That's where the rest of Christendom got it from. The JWBozos have been saying the heavenly resurrection has been occurring since 1914-1918ish, which is a deviation from the truth.
Jesus and Paul made clear that the "first resurrection" wouldn't happen until when Jesus comes at the end of the tribulation...
1 Thessalonians 4:15-17
"For this is what we tell you by Jehovah’s word, that we the living who survive to the presence of the Lord will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep in death; because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first. Afterward we the living who are surviving will, together with them, be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we will always be with the Lord."
The Annual Meeting GB liars are cut from the same cloth as Hymenaeus and Philetus and Alexander.
1 Timothy 1:18-20
"...go on waging the fine warfare, holding faith and a good conscience, which some have thrust aside, resulting in the shipwreck of their faith. Hy·me·naeʹus and Alexander are among these, and I have handed them over to Satan so that they may be taught by discipline not to blaspheme."
The GB are working with Satan, not Jehovah. The "discipline" they will receive for their blasphemy of claiming to represent God is soon to come.
2 Corinthians 11:13-15
"For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself keeps disguising himself as an angel of light. It is therefore nothing extraordinary if his ministers also keep disguising themselves as ministers of righteousness. But their end will be according to their works."
Jesus is about to bring the WTBT$ and its false prophets, the GB/FD$, to nothing.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-12
"However, brothers, concerning the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you not to be quickly shaken from your reason nor to be alarmed either by an inspired statement or by a spoken message or by a letter appearing to be from us, to the effect that the day of Jehovah is here. Let no one lead you astray in any way, because it will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness gets revealed, the son of destruction. He stands in opposition and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he sits down in the temple of God, publicly showing himself to be a god. Do you not remember that when I was still with you, I used to tell you these things? And now you know what is acting as a restraint, so that he will be revealed in his own due time. True, the mystery of this lawlessness is already at work, but only until the one who is right now acting as a restraint is out of the way. Then, indeed, the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will do away with by the spirit of his mouth and bring to nothing by the manifestation of his presence. But the lawless one’s presence is by the operation of Satan with every powerful work and lying signs and wonders and every unrighteous deception for those who are perishing, as a retribution because they did not accept the love of the truth in order that they might be saved. That is why God lets a deceptive influence mislead them so that they may come to believe the lie, in order that they all may be judged because they did not believe the truth but took pleasure in unrighteousness."

"Jehovah's Witnesses 'care' outside scope of abuse inquiry, court told
Wellington higher courts reporter
October 11, 2023
Jehovah’s Witnesses say five claims made against elders are not within the scope of the abuse in care inquiry, but it can’t forestall what will happen about other claims it knows exist but remain confidential.
Survivors have not yet given permission for the extra claims to be disclosed to the Jehovah’s Witnesses, so a court challenge to the way the abuse in care Royal Commission of Inquiry is interpreting the scope of its work can only cover the claims disclosed so far.
Jehovah’s Witnesses were not asking to be “released” from the inquiry but did say nothing so far brought it within the terms of reference description of a faith-based institution assuming responsibility for the care of anyone.
The faith did not run schools, camps or assume responsibility for care in any other way, lawyer Sarah Jerebine told Justice Rebecca Ellis at the High Court in Wellington on Wednesday.
However, last month the scope of the inquiry was clarified “for the avoidance of doubt” to cover faiths assuming care for individuals in informal and pastoral care relationships. The judge was told her decision would also affect claims against other faiths.
Jehovah’s Witnesses said last month’s clarification was invalid but lawyers for the attorney-general have defended it.
The faith group did not challenge the evidence to the inquiry from a former Jehovah’s Witnesses elder who said people trusted him and left their children with him. Jerebine said that did not amount to the faith assuming responsibility for the care of anyone.
Jehovah’s Witnesses’ policy was that parents should not leave their children with elders. The five claims against elders were in a family setting or friend of the family context and none described abuse in care that came within the scope of the inquiry, she said.
It was fair for claimants to have a process to meet their situation but the abuse in care inquiry did not cover abuse in trust-based relationships, she said.
The inquiry is due to start a process at the end of the month seeking comment from any person or group facing adverse findings.
It had a deadline of March 28, 2024 to release its report and recommendations.
The inquiry was represented at the court hearing in Wellington this week but its lawyer Simon Mount, KC, said it was only present to assist the court and did not take an active part.
It took seriously its duties to be even-handed and fair, he said.
Justice Rebecca Ellis reserved her decision. Dozens of people were in the court’s public gallery for the hearing and she thanked them for their attention to the case, acknowledging that not all were “in the same boat”.
